“Good location with lots of nearby restaurants”

Nice hotel - comfy bed. We had a front facing room with a patio which was nice but lots of street noise on our first night. It was better the next 2. Helpful staff on the desk each day. There is a pool and rooftop deck but it was too chilly to use in October

We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed. Room: Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable. Service: The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Location: The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient. Facilities: The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city. Food and Drink: We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out. Value for Money: The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities. Tips/Recommendations: This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer. We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.

Cleanliness is perfect. Room had a modern clean line design. It had a comfy bed and air con which is very important for relaxing in warm summer days, but there was something missing ! I cannot quite put my finger on it but for some reasons hotel was not comfortable for me at all! Maybe it was the decor, lighting, … or the unfriendly, overly serious receptionist ! Receptionist was polite but not friendly and welcoming which is very important for a receptionist; he did not made us feel welcomed at all! He was not informative, either. He did not tell us about places of interest around the Hotel like some receptionist do in other hotels, some even give you a map and patiently circle the most important sights to see, but he did not even told us what there was inside the hotel, let alone outside! He did not tell us there was a pool on the roof top or a breakfast buffet ! We found out about these in some hotel reservation websites later when we decided to find another hotel . we could have gone swimming or enjoyed the breakfast buffet during our stay if we were informed. Hotel is value for money being in a good location. in popular area of El borne, services and amenities such as pool and outdoor seating area . To sum it up, this is not the kind of Hotel I would like to get back to again . Whatever it was missing there, we found it all in Hotel Actual in Passeig de Gràcia. A hotel that felt more home than our home! We did not even want to get back home! If you are interested in Passeig de Gràcia area, please do read my review about it as well.
