“Hotel with Barcelona character.”

We stayed here for a couple days before leaving on a cruise. If you're looking for a sterile, corporate hotel, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a hotel with the spirit of Barcelona it's perfect. It's got great character. I only wish the weather would have been better. ... more

We stayed here for a couple days before leaving on a cruise. If you're looking for a sterile, corporate hotel, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a hotel with the spirit of Barcelona it's perfect. It's got great character. I only wish the weather would have been better. We were able to get a view of Palau Güell's rooftop from the pool area, but weren't able to hang out there because of the rain. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable. Would return in a heartbeat!

WE ARE FREE TO GO WHERE WE WISH AND TO BE WHAT WE ARE.. The extract of Richard Bach, author of the famous book «Jonathan Livingston Seagull» comes to my mind every time i come to Gaudi. The small hotel with the big heart and the sense of freedom. Fredom isthat offers, among others, this hotel. Freedom to feel the city, to be near everything, to be among friends and feel one of them.Thats why i return every year. I return to my spanish family. The family oif Gaudi, old and new members, make clients feel at home and make anything to make them happy. Hotel Gaudi is small and arty, has rich breakfast- this time with additions, as rice and muchrooms and beans- in a beautiful room with view at the road and the Palau Guell, big, confortable rooms-some of them with big terraces viewing Palau Guell,- is very clean,safe, almost quite, although two steps from Rambla and Rambla de Raval. The stuff always helpful and smiling, eager to advice and conversation.Very good room service. One and only thing that is missing is the absence of refrigirator in the room, i think it is due to technical reasons and it will be fixed, until then on the first floor there is 24 hours availability of ice cubes and pots. There is a gym for whom that want to keep their shape everyday. And a small swimming pool wit a bar on the 6th floor where day and night you have the whole city in front of you. It is not a cheap hotel but it worths the money for all reasons. I cannot explain more, because some thing in life you feel them or not. I came home lwith the best imprssions looking forward for the next visit. Thank you Cristina and Paolo, Arnau and Alessandra, Chavi and Pablo, Carmen, Susana... and all my friends. If i forget someone, i will never forget all of you

“Good location but property needs improvements”

I don't understand why this place has such great reviews. The location is awesome, near Ramblas and the Metro. Some rooms have a mini fridge, some have balconies, nice nightlights near the bed, fairly decent breakfast. The staff is also very helpful. After that, I can't compliment the place m... more

I don't understand why this place has such great reviews. The location is awesome, near Ramblas and the Metro. Some rooms have a mini fridge, some have balconies, nice nightlights near the bed, fairly decent breakfast. The staff is also very helpful. After that, I can't compliment the place much. It's an older property, uncomfortable beds, very flat pillows, hallways with hard surfaces so any sounds echo, loud street noise until very late (especially on weekends), weak air conditioner, no tissue, no restaurant, no iron in room, borrowed iron tripped electrical circuits, slow draining sink, no room to open suitcases, few hangers, no metro map available in lobby, walls between rooms were very thin so you heard everyone around you.
