“Nice hotel with minor issues”

A very comfortable hotel located just 30mins walking from Sants train station or Placa Catalunya. A very comfortable hotel located just 30mins walking from Sants train station or Placa Catalunya. We had a superior room overlooking the courtyard, so we enjoyed a peaceful night, which is a rare event in Barcelona. The room was lovely, the beds were comfortable. We only had two issues with the room: - the light inside the wardrobe kept turning on at night every time one would turn in bed, so it was quite disruptive, - the shower tiles were covered with mold which made it unpleasant to wash. The breakfast was quite basic, not worth the price. Every floor is decorated with paintings of well-known artists, hence the name. A beautiful hotel, overall, requiring some TLC.

Stayed 3 nights before cruise. Location is close to Casa Milla and many restaurants near by but a little far from city center. Stayed 3 nights before cruise. Location is close to Casa Milla and many restaurants near by but a little far from city center. Very clean room comes with bath robes, sleepers , two free bottled water, mini bar. AC is very good amid hot late summer. Roof top pool is nice but a little small. We also received welcome drinks from the bar as new H10 member. Distance to cruise port is about 15min. Overall a pleasant stay and will stay again next time.

Nice hotel. Great location. Reasonable prices. Stayed here for 2 nights before heading on a cruise. Not too far from the airport or cruise port. Walking distance to many restaurants and cafés. Nice hotel. Great location. Reasonable prices. Stayed here for 2 nights before heading on a cruise. Not too far from the airport or cruise port. Walking distance to many restaurants and cafés. Cab pickup is right on the corner. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting us with information about getting around the city. I took 1 star off because we wanted to sit outside one evening for drinks, and the staff could only accommodate 2 tables, and those tables were full, so the remainder of the outside area was closed down. I didn't use the rooftop bar or pool, but it looked very nice. Overall, I would stay here again.

We came back to this hotel because we stayed here before and like it for the following reasons: the location is super practical in Eixample with its many bars and restaurants, a half hour by taxi from the airport, close to the Rambla and Passeig de Gracia and well connected via subway to many parts of town. The rooms, while small (enough space to roll out a yoga mat though!), are quiet, modern and the bed very comfy – not too hard and not too soft, and they have nice Rituals cosmetics. Staff is friendly, and they also rent out bikes. The internet, a/c and blow dryer work well, they provide a Nespresso machine, drinking water every day and a fridge stocked with drinks and each level of the hotel features works of a different artist. On the downside, this time we had a room on the inside looking into the inner courtyard where you can’t open the window (in the past we had rooms with a balcony looking out over the back – so much better). The USB chargers by the bed didn’t work, the bathroom sink was clogged and even though we mentioned it to the staff and they worked on it, they weren’t able to unclog it. The room access cards didn’t function twice when we came back to the room and we had to have them reprogrammed at the reception. The lights inside the bathroom and the closets would go on automatically at random times during the night and then go off again. And the reception area is very strongly perfumed which, if you are sensitive to scents, is a bit much. We didn’t book breakfast since there are lots of bakeries in the area. Maybe we were just a little unlucky this time – but there are still a lot of good reasons that speak for this hotel despite these small nuisances.
