Excellent stay at Four point. More than property we liked the staff. Always ready to help. They accommodated our family request and also provided upgrades. Rooms were clean and provided good city views. The hotel is at very good location witj many Indian restaurants nearby

I arrived at this property in error, (asked to be taken to the Four Points Barcelona Airport), after a moment of frustration I asked if they had space for me for one night. The front desk staff and Juan Manuel (Guest Experience Manager) could not have been more accomodating and helpful. My room was quiet and comfortable with a stunning view of the city. It is an area of BCN I'd never stayed in and felt lucky to get to explore this quieter, less touristy area. The "Ramblas" was a beautiful place to stroll and do some local shopping. I can not speak more highly of this hotel!

We found ourselves on a last-minute family adventure to Spain over Thanksgiving break. We had never been to Europe, let alone Spain, so this was an exciting first for us. After a few days of browsing travel websites and Instagram vlogs, we settled on visiting Madrid and Barcelona. We had a general idea of the activities we wanted to do but were unsure about accommodations—specifically, where to stay as a central home base for exploring and resting. A quick search gave us a rough idea of the most popular tourist spots, and while Madrid was relatively straightforward, Barcelona proved to be a bit more challenging. The closer you got to the center of the city, the more expensive accommodations became—and we were working with a bit of a budget. We had heard that the metro system was accessible, but we were hesitant to stay at an unfamiliar hotel brand, especially since this was our first time traveling overseas. We wanted to minimize stress and focus on enjoying our trip, so being Marriott Bonvoy members, I stuck with their properties and booked directly through their website. This choice ensured customer support in case any issues arose. Knowing we would be taking the bullet train from Madrid into Barcelona, we also considered the hotel’s location near the Sants station. While we initially hoped to stay in the Gothic Quarter, the rates were nearly double what we wanted to spend, so we chose the Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal. It was conveniently located near the metro, Rambla del Poblenou, and a hop-on-hop-off bus stop—perfect for exploring the city without the hassle of navigating too far. A few weeks before our arrival, I received a warm welcome email from the hotel’s front desk asking if I had any questions or needed assistance with transfers. I took full advantage of their offer and arranged a car service to pick us up at the Sants train station for €20. It ended up being cheaper than an Uber and gave us peace of mind about avoiding unexpected fares. When we checked in, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. One of my concerns had been whether they could provide a rollaway bed, as European hotel rooms are often smaller than those in the U.S., and we had an 8-year-old with us. I’d made the request via email in advance, knowing these aren’t always guaranteed. Thankfully, the hotel went out of their way to accommodate us—upgrading our room to a high floor and setting up a very comfortable Murphy bed for just €15 per night. The room was spacious, with a king-sized bed and the Murphy bed, and we had a beautiful view of the northern part of the city (you could even spot the Sagrada Família from our window). The bathroom was a good size, though the shower was a bit small—especially for someone who’s 6' tall. Still, the water was warm, which was all that mattered! Our package included the buffet breakfast with our AAA rate, and it was great—offering everything from American breakfast staples to European favorites. The options changed just enough each day to keep things interesting, and it was a relaxing way to combat jet lag and sleep in after long days of travel. For dinners, we found plenty of options within walking distance along Rambla del Poblenou. Our absolute favorite was Mammamia, a fantastic Italian restaurant just about 10 minutes from the hotel. The staff were wonderful, the food was even better, and Abu, the owner, offered us complimentary limoncello shots, which was a lovely touch. But truly, the best part of our stay at Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal was the hotel staff. Traveling internationally for the first time can be nerve-wracking, but the staff made it effortless. Paula from the night desk went above and beyond to ensure that all our questions were answered (no matter how silly), and she always had a kind smile for us. They had small, thoughtful touches for our child as well—like the opportunity to write letters to Santa—that made the hotel feel exceptionally family-friendly. If I had to summarize our stay, I would say it felt like staying with old friends—welcoming, familiar, and worry-free. The location was perfect for us (we mostly used Uber Taxis to get around), and the Rambla was lined with plenty of great dining options. All in all, we had a clean, safe, and stress-free home base for our Barcelona adventures.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The neighborhood was really nice for walking and dining. But, by far, the staff was outstanding. We had a lost bag in transit, and the staff - especially Valentin Carter - went above and beyond to help us locate it and arrange for having it delivered to our ship after we left the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and staff!!
