We visited Barcelona for the first time. Jet2 advertised this hotel and based on the website we booked it. We were expecting a roof top pool, however, we overlooked the pool from our 8th floor room, by around 7 floors. The pool is surrounded on both sides by high rise grotty apartments, which wasn't advertised. The pool appeared to be a second thought, with cheap decking and small size, it wasn't very well used for a Spanish hotel. Checking in, the staff were friendly, didn't feel approachable, but polite. There was a smell of sewerage/drains when entering the building. On entering the bedroom, the was a smell of drains continued to be present. The bathroom was overwhelming. We wondered if it was something which would pass, however, we purchased an air freshener for our 4 day stay. We didn't feel that we wanted to complain, as the smell was everywhere in the hotel, with nothing being mentioned at check in, and no references being made, we felt this was normal. We didn't plan to be in the hotel much anyway. The bathroom layout was shocking. You had to open the glass screen towards you to get in the bath, squeezing round the toilet to get in to the back of the bath, then closing the screen behind you, which only covered half the bath. Getting out was in reverse, opening the screen deposited water on the floor and with nothing to hold on to.... think Bambi on ice. No wonder bits of the surface was missing with damage. Don't sneeze whilst sitting on the toilet, as you risk banging your head on the counter at the other side....very compact. And if you want to share water in the bath, it's fine, as took over 5 hours for bathwater to leave, and shared black bits out of the drainage area back in to the bath. With seeing previous reviews about security in the hotel/city, we opted not to have room service, so left Do Not Disturb on the door for the stay. We are aware that the door was opened everyday. We did use the safe, it was free with staff continuing to open the door, the safe was well stuffed! We ended up receiving a letter asking us to allow room service. Had we been staying longer than 4 days, we would have given in. (Never had issues like this anywhere else before) Mini-fridge was empty, so bonus to use fridge. There are no tea or coffee facilities, you have to pay for the kettle. There were no directions on how to do this. TV certainly does not have any British channels. You also can't screencast and no facilities to log in to Netflix, YouTube..

“high cost, litle confort”

the hotel's spaces are not confortable. the room are noisy and don't have space for two 23kg bag. not so close to metro
