“Nice hotel”

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights when visiting Barcelona. The location is OK, a bit out of the way so had to get taxi's into Gothic Quarter, to the beach, etc. If you come out of the hotel and turn left, there are some nice places to eat and a few shops. The hotel itself is nice and clean, the staff are helpful and polite. Our room was ready for us to check into early which was a bonus! We had breakfast there for 13 euro each, the food was nice and there was a variety. The rooftop pool and sunbathing area is small but just what we wanted after a hot day of sightseeing. However, I feel there could be more chairs/loungers provided as there was only 3 loungers and 2 chairs on the first 2 days. On our last day an extra lounger appeared and 2 more chairs. It did get a bit busy up there at times. The hairdryer in the room stopped working and hotel staff done their best to get a new one, it was available the next morning but we didn't need it then as was checking out. But they done their best and were very apologetic. Overall, a nice hotel, however if I was to return to Barcelona I would pay a bit more and stay closer to the city centre.

Small double great for max two nights with little luggage. Else not ask for bigger room. Great air con, free safe, kettle . Great transport links. 10 to 15 mins to Segrada Familiar. 20 mins walk past shopping centre( great food court if raining) to sea. Breakfast looked good and fresh if you prefer to eat before sightseeing. Staff lovely and friendly. Room always cleaned and freshened up. There is so much to see in Barcelona that a week is a starting point. We preferred local areas and didnt like the famous la Rambles as far too busy . There are many lovely other places to go. Take a city walking tour. Visit Monserrat. There are some lovely healthy food restaurants which we also loved . Overall there is something for everyone in Barcelona .

“Disappointed”

Disappointing ,although the rooms were clean they really were quite small.Having been given room 601 right next to the lift made our room very noisy the lift needs some oil I think ! Disappointing ,although the rooms were clean they really were quite small.Having been given room 601 right next to the lift made our room very noisy the lift needs some oil I think ! Amenities in the room were not replenished daily and trying to get extra coffee sachets and milk jiggers proved impossible! Breakfast was awful never enough crockery and cutlery we seemed to spend most of our breakfast experience requesting a cup or bowl ! The hot breakfast was diabolical ,three item eggs and ,sautéed peppers,Spainish omelette and sausage! The hot food was never hot and not even warm.The music was quite loud and we were not the only guests that had to ask for it to be turned down .You have to get in the bath before you can turn the taps on as the shower screen covers access to the taps.The plug didn’t fit the bath tub making it impossible to actually have a bath, Dont get excited about there being a rooftop pool as it is a plunge pool 1 metre deep !
