Great hotel helpful friendly staff secure garage parking for our motorcycles positioned right next to the walled city. Clean and tidy rooms cafe onsite for breakfast would definitely use this hotel again also recommend the soul bar for food.

“Perfect location and great for an overnight stop”

This hotel is located immediately outside one of the gates of the impressive medieval city wall, access to the wall and the old city center could not be easier. The walk along the wall back to the hotel was magical and unforgettable as the wall and its towers were nicely illuminated. Our family room had 4 comfortable twin beds. Entire room and the facility itself was no-frills but spotless and pleasant. Staff did not speak much English but very friendly. Plenty of free parking right outside and there is also a paid underground garage close by. Very easy to access by car. Hotel has a cafeteria but we did not try the food. Breakfast offerings at 6 am was rather paltry so we did not linger. The family room is on the top floor, so although generous in square footage, about 1/3 of it is under a low sloped ceiling - which is perfect for laying out your suitcases and for little toddlers (there is even a mini table and chair set for toddlers!). My older kids thought it was charming as well, but I kept bumping my head on the ceiling. On the other hand, the view of the city wall and the new city below in the valley was awesome. In summary, may not be great for the extended stays for "tall" people, but perfect as an overnight stop due to its accessible location, proximity to the city, and pleasant interiors.

The hotel is conveniently located just outside one of the gates in the Avila city wall, making it easy to wander around the city. The room itself was small. And the bathroom had a couple of design flaws. The sink faucet was designed/positioned so that one barely had enough room to get one's hand under it. And the shower had a big slanting corner drain, which one foot slipped into. Bed pillows were flat and hard. There was a screwy rule about no eating in the room. There's some sort of small restaurant on the upper floor of the hotel. It wasn't open when I wanted to eat dinner. Staff and maybe other people were talking loudly till nearly 11 pm when I wanted to sleep. The design and acoustics let me hear everything they were saying. I also heard a lot of motorcycle noise earlier in the evening. Reception staff spoke no English, but managed to convey check in time and arrange a taxi to the train station, quite helpful. I would've been very disappointed in this hotel if not for its very reasonable price at 45 euros. And thankfully the noise finally stopped at 11 pm.
