Rooms here are lovely, clean and fresh with mini fridge to keep bottled water cool. Location fantastic - hire a car and take yourselves off and about to neighbouring places - Andtradx market, Port Andtradx in the evening - head to Tim’s - also walked here one day. Portals to the marina to see the big yachts, Peguera walked here lunched at Mar y Mar. Valldemossa was beautiful. Palma so easy on the bus. Bus travel very simple to all places close by bus stop short walk from hotel. Hotel food and restaurants here lack quality and atmosphere - breakfasts are lovely. Didn’t rate the atmosphere of the restaurant and wouldn’t write home about the food in evenings/lunch and the wine. Have stayed 4 star at Iberostar before and food was excellent this didn’t compare. Plus need more staff in the restaurant to clear tables more rapidly.

“All about the view”

It was worth the upgrade to a superior room just for the view, but I don’t think this gave us anything else as the rooms are still the same size (quite small, no storage for cases etc). This hotel is all about the views! It was worth the upgrade to a superior room just for the view, but I don’t think this gave us anything else as the rooms are still the same size (quite small, no storage for cases etc). We did have tea/coffee making facilities which I’d read weren’t included, so maybe this is just in superior rooms? Apparently it also gave us free use of the sunbeds by the sea but we didn’t use these. The room had air con but the corridors/lift areas were like a greenhouse and unbearably hot. The resort is small but has everything you need - shops, beach, boat excursions, pharmacy, medical centre, taxi rank and bus stop with good connections to Palma and Andratx. The disappointment for us was the food. It is almost the same for every meal, with some “specials” including Italian night, which was odd when there is always pizza and pasta on the buffet anyway! The food was sometimes cold and what you got seemed to depend entirely on what time you got there. The layout was weird too - at breakfast the fresh fruit is at the opposite end to the other fruit/yoghurt area. The iced fruity water was a nice touch but there were no glasses nearby. As a pregnant person who wasn’t feeling well I found this really frustrating having to do laps of the place! (And was also overheating due to the lack of air con). There was often no butter, just margarine. The “fruit juice” was undrinkable and had never seen an item of fruit! (I think this was also used to make the mocktails at the bar which was disappointing). We took a water bottle to every meal and filled it up as you had to buy water from the bar? It seemed odd that my husband could have all the alcohol he wanted but I couldn’t get any water! We were also disappointed with the early/late breakfast which was in a small, hot room and didn’t have much at all (no milk!) - just small dry pastries, dry toast (with nothing to put on it!) and some apples. The food definitely needs better labelling/translation too - I regularly didn’t know what I was eating which isn’t ideal when I’m not supposed to eat certain fish/cheese while pregnant. The entertainment team do a great job and made such a big effort for the Euros football which was appreciated. I did think it was odd that the stage area is inside - this is good for noise levels at night but it is way too hot and needs some air con! Overall we sadly wouldn’t return because of the food.
