We stayed at the AC Hotel Marriott in Alicante for five days and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect – just a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, and it's an easy walk into the city center, which made exploring the area a breeze. The rooms were exactly what we needed—clean, comfortable, and equipped with air-conditioning and a mini-bar. Speaking of bars, the prices throughout the hotel were surprisingly reasonable, whether you were grabbing a drink from the mini-bar or enjoying a cocktail at one of the hotel bars. Breakfast was fantastic, offering a mix of both cooked and continental options that really set us up for the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer advice on local places to visit and dine at—nothing was too much trouble for them. One of the highlights was the rooftop pool. It’s a great spot with beautiful views, but it can get busy, so space around the pool can be limited at times. However, the outside bar, serving up lovely cocktails, made it a wonderful place to relax. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Alicante.

The hotel exceeded my expectations on arrival,it was a spacious entrance with a long reception desk. The receptionist was charming, she welcomed us, gave an upgrade along with lots of information on the local area, including places to eat. We arrived earlier than check in time & initially the room wasn't ready but by the time we had parked our car in the garage she told us it was ready. The room we had was on to the side street,it was spacious,clean and included tea and a coffee machine. There was also a personal welcome message, chocolates and sweets which was a lovely touch, thank you! The room also had a large wall mounted tv, although it wasn't a smart tv and had only a few English channels, mainly news.No apps for Netflix,Prime etc, something that is expected now in a hotel of this standard. Didn't bother us too much as we were out visiting the local sites al within walking distance, but would be nice to have at night. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel we went out because it's more interesting than a hotel breakfast, and the hotel breakfast we thought to be overpriced. We enjoyed the pool area and views watching the sun go down. We did order drinks which took far too long and called again to ask had they forgotten.Whoever answered was abrupt ( not Spanish) and just made excuses. When the drinks arrived my sangria was watery and not good for 6 Euros.I didn't have any more after that. That's a bit disappointing and could be improved in both quality and service. Check out was fairly swift but he didn't want any feedback, hence my review. We left our car in the garage and went out for some lunch. Parking was 15 Euros a night and we found alternative free parking close by should we return in the future. We recommend the hotel because of the positives as mentioned above, the negatives can be improved upon with further training, rigorous selection/ recruitment.
