“Ideal gateway to Madrid”
Stayed two nights here, it's a pleasant place with very good staff. The location of the hotel is perfect for day excursions into Madrid by train. “Surprisingly good!”
This hotel is my favorite budget accommodation in Madrid. The name is actually Puerta de Alcala Hotel (I think Metropol was its old name...) Location is fantastic (7 minute walk to La Garena Renfe Station with many good restaurants nearby and a hipercor and Corte Ingles mall a 12 minute walk away)… more

“Cheap option , convenient location , but average”
I already stayed at this hotel years ago when it was owned by the "Krishotel" chain , and remembered the good location (easy to reach by car or by train as the station is in walking distance) .
