I based myself here for my first visit to Seoul and it was excellent. 100 metres to the Metro and many convenience stores nearby. Room was clean, there is a AC unit, fridge, safe and kettle and cup but you need to bring your own coffee and something to stir. The bathroom was fine for me but if you are anything above 5ft 6 or on the larger side, you might find it a bit cramped. The wifi worked great. Breakfast was ok, they had different Korean dishes every day so some days you might like it and some days you wont. However, one thing they do have everyday are bread, croissants and a toaster, as well as rice and congee. There is no restaurant at this hotel, I didn’t use it but there is a laundry room and vending machines for snacks and drinks. When I left I took the train to the airport but there is the airport bus too and the stop is outside the hotel. This might be handy if you have lots of luggage. I enjoyed my stay here and will stay here again.

I had a quick holidays in Seoul. It is not easy to find decent hotel at reasonable rate and I came across this hotel. The hotel is a few mins walk from the subway station and famous design plaza is close by. Overall, it is ok. Room: Compact. They have no wardrobe, so it gives more spaces. Amenities are minimal. The kettle is good for fixing own coffee. The shower temperature was bit hard to be controlled. Tends to be too hot. Facilities: Vending machine and laundry. No restaurant, but they give free breakfast. Service: Ok, not outstanding, average

This Toyoko Inn has a prime location. Located right next to a subway exit, with the airport bus leaving a few doors up and with a convenience store right next door it makes for an excellent place to stay. Being a Toyoko Inn the rooms are clean (but small) and come with all the mod-cons. As Westerners we found the breakfast to be a little limited in variety (what- no bacon!), but the food was fresh, the wait staff helpful and the surroundings spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

We visit Korea at least once a year and very often we stay in Dongdaemun when we are in Seoul. Toyoko Inn is always our top choice as it offers great value considering the room and the breakfast. Although rooms are small, it's got everything you need including a small fridge, flat screen TV, free wifi. And the all you can eat Korean style breakfast. It's 5 min walk to the nearest metro station and there is a airport shuttle right in front of the hotel. it's on a main street so easy access to many bus routes. And you can walk easily to Dongdaemun and other dining places. Choice is great. For those who wants a bit of quiet and easy access to main shopping, this is a great value you will enjoy.
