Th airport is about 37 mile outside the city and our car ride to the hotel was about 1.5 hours. There is a fast train that takes you into the city center in about 1 hour, but I have no idea how long it would take us to then taxi to the hotel. Hotel is well maintained and in the central area of the city just below the large tower hill. Giving this hotel a 4.2 hinge rating on a scale of 0-5

Our group stayed here 5 nights. Hotel is very nice and centrally located. Our room had two beds - a double and a single. Also small TV, tea kettle, mini fridge. No real drawers, but lots of surfaces to put things in. Closet with hangers and a safe. Bathroom was big. You had to climb over the edge o… more
Our group stayed here 5 nights. Hotel is very nice and centrally located. Our room had two beds - a double and a single. Also small TV, tea kettle, mini fridge. No real drawers, but lots of surfaces to put things in. Closet with hangers and a safe. Bathroom was big. You had to climb over the edge of the tub to use the shower- not my preference but water pressure was great. Our guide provided us a cheat sheet to figure out the bidet/toilet 🤣. Lighting, AC, and do not disturb and clean my room alert are all controlled by a special box. Breakfast available at 7am. Not a huge buffet, but adequate. There is also a coffee shop in the lobby. Lots of restaurants and a couple quick convenience stores, a dessert cafe, and a market around the corner. Subway is close as is the night market.

We stayed here for a good week in August and we had a really good time. Room was spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in Myeongdong, and is therefore within walking distance to sevaral attractions such as Namsan tower, the market in Namdaemun and Lotte shopping center. Just around the corner you will also find Starbucks.

Pacific Hotel Seoul has 181 rooms. Giving this hotel a 4.3 Hinge rating (scale of 0-5) We are right in the heart of a large modern city. Sleep was OK, but after a nice hotel included breakfast, it was out walking to just behind the hotel to take the tram ride up the mountain to the Seoul observation tower (see additional review). Overall thoughts on Seoul South Korea and the hotel: • What a nice clean city. • Everyone was super friendly. • Very inexpensive. • Nice new everything • There may be other palaces and temples to visit, but we are going to get our fill of such in Vietnam and Cambodia With OAT (Oh Another Temple – HA HA) . • No need to revisit as the DMZ visit was the prime reason we (Tom) picked this location for our bio clock. We booked a trip to the DMZ on our first day (see additional review). Third day we flew on to Vietnam for our 28 day OAT tour..

Location convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc. Large rooms, very clean and a decent buffet breakfast. The thermostat in the room was set to 27C and no ability to adjust. Too hot!
