A good, travellers hotel in a reasonable location in Seoul. If you're travelling in from Incheon, the airport bus stops right outside - and also picks you up on the way back: journey time is around 2 hours, depending on traffic. Rooms are spacious and clean; pillows super-soft; fridge in the room, and shower is excellent. Breakfast buffet is pretty average for this kind of hotel. The hotel is clearly popular with large groups, especially of students, so try to avoid breakfast before 7.30am - if you do go down earlier, be prepared to queue! We paid 40,000 won on the last day for late check-out at 4.00pm which was well worth it; also used the same-day laundry service which worked out very well too.

This is a lower cost hotel but rooms have everything needed, new and modern Breakfast was excellent, location good subway close by. Close to market Staff friendly and efficient What more do the complainers want ?

We were recommended this pleasant hotel for our almost 1 week stay in Seoul. Found the hotel to be well located, within walking distance to the famous Myeongdong area and very near to the Eujil-ro Sam Ga subway station that linked us to other destinations in and around Seoul! Service was very friendly and efficient - (kudos to Mr Yoon at reception). Upon arrival we were assigned to a very comfortable family room, which was clean, spacious for all of 4 of us and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and they even prepared amenities for 4 people (including 4 robes,towels etc!) Our room cam with breakfast - a reasonable buffet spread and at the time of our stay we noticed that the hotel seemed to be very popular with groups of guests, either here on business or even leisure.Service attentive in breakfast area, but more robotic - not as approachable as the staff at reception. The hotel is located about an hour away from the airport (Incheon) and conveniently the airport bus services does stop right in front of the hotel as per a pre-set schedule. This is displayed at the lobby and also at the reception. The hotel is located in along a busy street lined with many businesses (noticeable lighting shops) but there are also convenient stores (7-eleven) very nearby and also a few eateries in case you get peckish. We found the hotel to be very convenient and have already made wishful plans that if we return for another visit to Seoul, we would again choose this hotel as our base. Recommended for all both business and leisure guests.

Pros - Kukdo hotel is a very convenient place to stay in Seoul. The airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel as well as subway station and bus stops nearby. The hotel also has a convenience store and pharmacy located in the building. There is a large food court nearby in the adjacent office building as well. It is within walking distance of Gwangjang market and Myeongdong. Overall it is a good place for someone who has not been to Korea before. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly. Cons - The rooms are outdated and need touch up. Door frames were peeling. In the bathroom, there were worn and moldy bathroom tiles. Some of the wires in the room seemed so worn i was worried about a fire hazard. One our beds also had moldy sheets which we let the front desk know about. The AC in the building was not turned on our first night making it extremely hot and the staff provided us a fan for our stay. No on-site laundry either. Overall, I would book again for the location and ONLY if i could find the stay at a discount.
