We stayed at 54 on Bath for 3 days and it was a great end to our two weeks in South Africa. The hotel and lobby are beautiful. The service here is excellent. If you ordered an Uber, the doormen would ask for the license number and let you know when the car came so you didn't have to go wait on the street. We had a couple of requests/issues and they were resolved so quickly. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The tv had channels in lots of different languages. The shower was a little small, but there's also a nice bathtub with a handheld shower wand. We had a weird plumbing issue with our first room one night (it looked like bubble bath came up out of all of the drains including the toilet lol!) and the staff moved us to a new room basically instantly. The other issue we had is I'm sensitive to scents and when we arrived the lobby, hallways, and our room all had a strong smell from some kind of air freshener/perfume. It dissipated from the room with the windows open. We talked to the front desk and they took us seriously and made sure nothing was sprayed in the room for the rest of our stay. They even followed up to ask to make sure everything was ok another day. So if you also have a chemical/scent problem, I think you'll be ok. I would definitely stay here again. It's also so nice that the hotel connects to the Rosebank Mall. I wasn't sure what that meant before we went, but there's a long corridor between them and a guard stands by the entrance inside the hotel to make sure no one wanders in who shouldn't be there. There are plenty of ATM's in the mall. You can walk out of the mall and across the street straight into The Zone @ Rosebank which is another mall. On that same street there is the Rosebank Art & Craft Market, which is a whole bunch of individual vendors with their own stalls selling crafts. We bought all our souvenirs and gifts there. We thought the prices were fine, but take cash and you'll be able to negotiate a better price. We ended up having to use a credit card after we ran out of cash and everyone said they get charged an 8% service fee! There are so many nice restaurants in the area that are a short, cheap Uber away. We ate the hotel breakfast every morning and it was great. There is a continental buffet but you also get any made to order item off the menu. Most of the made to order items had a little dollop of caviar on them for garnish, just to let you start the day feeling fancy. The service was a little spotty at breakfast, one day I had to ask for tea 3 times before I got it and we saw another table going through the same thing. We also ate dinner at the hotel one night and the food and the service were very good. I included a couple of little criticisms in my review, but I would book this hotel again without hesitation, we were so happy with it. It's so rare to get more than you expected from a hotel these days.

“Fabulous 54 on Bath”

This hotel is an utter delight. It is warm, stylish and in a great location. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Their strength is their amazing staff, who are warm and helpful. A special shout out to Enoch, he is amazing, funny and a credit to 54 on Bath.

The most friendly team and the best service ever!! I absolutely LOVED this hotel! Everything about my stay was 10/10. I checked in a little early and they found a beautiful room for me. They helped with my luggage and didn’t hang around expecting a tip.. which made me want to give one! The reception staff were so happy and friendly when I arrived and they asked a lot of questions about my trip and even where I live The room was a very good size, large bed like sleeping on a cloud. Shower with a window overlooking the city and a big bath which I enjoyed. The hotel is also attached to a beautiful shopping centre with amazing restaurants, shops and all services that you need. I ordered room service and they made me the most delicious omelet even through the breakfast service had finished. Breakfast the following day was also wonderful!! I can’t fault this hotel. They did everything right And MORE!! I would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here twice while travelling through Joberg. It's nestled in a fantastic location close to Rosebank Arts and Crafts Market and "The Zone" which has many nice restaurants/bars. As an added bonus it is also directly connected to Rosebank Mall. The hotel's modern rooms provide a comfortable haven, while the staff are all very lovely and helpful.
