This was my first visit to South Africa, and didn’t know what to expect. Taj was exceptional— from the impeccable and kind service to the comfortable and spacious room with an incredible Mountain View. My daughter and I were so impressed, we stayed an extra two nights and canceled a reservation for another hotel. The Taj is a gem and I will definitely stay here on my return visit.

“Luxurious hotel”

1) very well trained, professional and friendly staff 2) very comfortable rooms , bedding and pilows 3) Top notch facilities- Swimming pool, spa, restaurants 4) very good food 5) good value for your money 6) Very nice Christmas tree in lobby. Good Christmas vibe

The hotel is right in the city so very accessible and the rooms are good. However, we are a big fan of facilities in hotel and you have falsely showed rooftop bar and restaurant which is technically a penthouse suite not accessible to other guests. The hotel is right in the city so very accessible and the rooms are good. However, we are a big fan of facilities in hotel and you have falsely showed rooftop bar and restaurant which is technically a penthouse suite not accessible to other guests. Other than a general and indian restaurant there is nothing in the hotel. Service is good but not at the level of taj brand. Rooms are good size. City view room saying is just for the sake of it as right beside is an equivalent height building covering entire view. Experience room wise is good and staff is friendly.

I am so used to the Taj experience, so deliberately chose this supposedly 5 star location to stay for 5 days and celebrate Christmas with my family. I was disappointed however, and the staff at this location need a LOT of training to get to the Taj standard. Definitely not a 5 star or typical Taj experience. The Mint and Christmas Brunch were far below standard. Staff inattentive and not trained in the Taj experience of making the guest feel taken care of. A lot of staff hanging around talking to each other, and even eating from the buffet, but not taking care of the guest. Most staff had no idea what was happening in the hotel. Concierge was inattentive. No one asked what they could do to make our experience better despite asking for help. Bombay Brasserie food and staff were good.
