We stayed at the Hotel Maya for one night as part of an excellent Casamance tour organised by Modou Barry’s tour company “Tour Gambia.” We had an A/C double room and found it very comfortable indeed, with a good firm bed and clean bathroom and hot showers. The food in the restaurant was also good and well presented. The hotel is also set in lush grounds that wind down to a long and, when we were there, totally deserted, beach. Idyllic.

“Exotic”

This is an exotic hotel near the coastline. No crowds of people, seashore is almost empty and wild with white sand and many seashells. We had a cosy stay in this hotel. Rooms are basic, but we had an electricity and even hot water. There was a/c too, but we didn't used it.

Lovely hotel, great ambiance, large pool overlooking ocean, nice rooms, in a rich garden, French managed. A bit outside Cap Skirring and the strip of hotels, making it very private and secluded. Lovely hotel, great ambiance, large pool overlooking ocean, nice rooms, in a rich garden, French managed. A bit outside Cap Skirring and the strip of hotels, making it very private and secluded. Direct access to the beach. Essentially it's as if you have your private pool and private beach. Very friendly staff. Excellent food which you need to book a few hours in advance. Internet not very stable, but that was an issue related overall to Cap Skirring.
