Butler service is a must, We had three that took care of us 7am to 10pm. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We also had our own pool. The food was good, and available all the time. The price is not for the faint of heart.

My wife and I have been to four different Sandals/Beaches and this has been our favorite so far. The island of St. Lucia is absolutely gorgeous and the people have the friendly and welcoming island vibe you want when on a vacation of this sort. For this trip we were celebrating our 13 year anniversary and chose St. Lucia as a new destination, as we had visited three other Sandals/Beaches in Jamaica. The resort itself is located about an hour and fifteen minute drive north of the airport and the journey offers plenty of stunning views of the various coves and lush jungle-like scenery. The resort is stunning; being built into the side and base of a mountain more or less, the resort is in a cove and offers views of beautiful cliffs with a picturesque beach. Sandals Regency La Toc is deceptively large. Many of the rooms, restaurants, and activities require a shuttle that runs on property to take you to the top or ends of the property. Several times my wife and I found ourselves dumbfounded, having discovered yet another area of the resort we did not know was part of property. You'll certainly work off all those Pina coladas and extra dessert just walking the property! We stayed in a luxury level walk out that set just steps from the main pool and the Pavilion, the buffet-style restaurant that has stunning views of the beach and ocean. The room overall was as expected of Sandals, nothing special but comfy. The room only had a walk-in shower, and the bathroom itself was small but it was reasonably priced for the location. Being somewhat seasoned Sandals visitors, we have always thought the food is very good and Regency La Toc was no different. We ate at every restaurant on property for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner with no meal being a disappointment. Several dishes were seared into our memories: the coffee rubbed ribeye, croquettes, and Accra at Pitons (Caribbean inspired, reservation required); Yellow fin tuna tartare and sirloin at La Toc (French, reservation required); the spaghetti carbonara and affogato at Armandos (Italian, no res required); and just about every aspect of the meal at Kimono's was good (Japanese hibachi, reservation required). Most restaurants do not require a reservation, but it is always recommended to make reservations as soon as possible when getting on property as they can fill up quickly. Each restaurant has their own specialty drink as well and we sampled all of them, with yet again no bad ones to be had. We felt the dining service at La Toc was very good as opposed to Jamaica. We never waited more than 20 minutes to have our order taken, drinks and appetizers and the main meal to arrive. We've have the experience at other Sandals where our meal did not arrive for 45 minutes, and drink orders taking 15 minutes or more. We have never had bad service at any Sandals we've visited, and Regency La Toc was no different. The people who work at these resorts are the ones who make the difference and we encountered a few people who made our trip special. First was Travis, the bow-tie guy! He works the bell desk and was so welcoming, inviting, kind, funny, and took a deep interest in making sure we and other guests were relaxed for our vacation. We saw Travis several times throughout our five days on property and he would go out of his way to come chat with us, even if for only a minute or two to make sure we were enjoying our time or to see if we needed anything. At one particular moment, we were walking across the pool deck and it was quite hot. Travis approached, asked how we were doing and offered to get us ice cream sundaes to cool down! Sandals may not be 5 star/5 diamond but this is a high level of service and makes for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Second is Stephan, a photographer for Sandals. While we don't always like just how many pictures Sandals wants (or rather forces you) to take, we almost always do a small photo session during our stays at the resort. Stephan was the first photographer we met on property and he did a fantastic job with our photo shoot. He was funny and took some stunning sunset photos on a day when the sky was as clear as others. Again, more five star service in an area where it might be least expected. We did experience one small inconvenience with our room key and door not working. The staff at La Doc did a great job of fixing the door in a very timely manner, getting us back to relaxing in no time. two thumbs ups in this area as well. Sandals Regency is touted as a golf resort, with Cap estate golf course having been purchased by Sandals some years ago. This was our only disappointment during our visit to this Sandals. I have been playing golf for 30 years and have played in several places all over the world. The golf course is marketed as a championship golf experience, but it was nowhere near that level. The fairways and tee boxes were in decent shape at best and the greens were not great either. I booked my tee time before arriving, assuming (I know, I know I shouldn't have assumed) the shuttles the resorts says can take you to and from the course would run all day. Upon arriving, I was told they ran twice a day to the course, once at 7 am and then again at 11:15. Keep in mind, the course is about an hour from regency La Toc. I had made a tee time at 10 am and was told we'd need to take a taxi, costing $40, to the course. While greens fees are included for all Sandals guests, you must pay a $50 cart fee plus $75 to rent clubs if you don't bring your own. So there's a potential to spend well over $200 for everything if you have to rent clubs and pay for taxis back and forth as the shuttle back to the resort only runs twice from the course. Book those tee times early! There are no caddies but plenty of locals who come out of the trees to try and sell you golf balls they've fished out of the numerous water hazards on the course. When I play golf I prefer not to be accosted on several holes to buy old golf balls. The biggest disappointment though, was that the back nine was closed, which was posted no where on the courses website or through Sandals. It was routine maintenance but the course gets clogged up quickly when everyone has to play the same nine twice in a row. I only ended playing 14 holes as I didn't want to miss the last shuttle of the day back to the resort which came at 12:30. Would not recommend wasting anytime with golfing here. Overall, our visit to Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia was incredible. We enjoy seeing new places and don't normally go back to the same resorts or destinations, but we will certainly be back to this Sandals!

“World class service”

This is one of the best hotels i have been too. The service, food and amenities were all world class. The entertainer was also very talented. I will return to the hotel We were celebrating our son birthday. We will be repeat guests. Thank you Sandals La Toc!!!
