We stayed at the Savoy Hotel for 1 night, where we had a spacious room with a nice balcony in the front part of the hotel. The room, including large bathroom, and the rest of the hotel were all very clean. The room was also pretty quiet. Just one area for improvement is the airco / heating system, since the hotel can apparently only have either airco on or heating on for the whole hotel. Since airco was still on but our room was a bit chilly, we actually got an electrical heater to heat up our room (instead of the central heating system that was not on yet). Staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful, which made this a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was ok, but could have a larger variety of items. The hotel is about a 20minute walk from the train station and just 5 minutes walk to the city center. We also very much appreciated the late check-out and would certainly consider staying here again when next in Timisoara.

I wanted to leave them a 5 star review, but the moment I finished breakfast, I said thank you to the waiter and he didn't even bother to answer me. Instead he turned his head away, disgusted and making me wonder if I smelled or had food in my mouth. Whatever... but because of someone like him, the hotel has to loose. Or maybe because I didn't tip him? Finally. Excellent hotel, large, spacious room, check-in was very fast - we were very tired. Restful sleep, just what I needed. Quiet and peace. Quite varied breakfast, buffet style, I recommend the eggplant salad and tomatoes/cheese salad. The coffee machine that makes your coffee on the spot complimented the food. A very nice experience, pity the waiter who wanted to ruin my day. And he didn't succeed...

Good business option located on the bank of the Bega River, close to the University and just a short walk away from the Orthodox Cathedral and the Victory Square. The building has an Art Deco air towards the street and a more modern addition at the back. Our room, in the old part of the hotel, was very spacious and well restored with many original elements in the bathroom.
