It was at the initiative of a prominent figure of the time, Mr Jeremias da Conceição Dias, that Marvão was endowed with its first hotel establishment. We were really comfortable here; the views are gorgeous and there is an ambience of peace and old world gentility. and yet very much in the centre of this ancient citadel. “Treasured Stay at the Marvao Pousada”
We counted up and realized we’ve stayed at 6 Pousadas over the years and this was our favorite. We think staying at Pousadas connects us more with the true Portugal at a very reasonable cost.
