Palace hotel Lisbon is next level amazing!! We booked in one night earlier than expected and they totally looked after us giving us a spacious room in the main hotel. A gorgeous modern add onto the restored magnificent Palace. The following night having booked a suite we then got upgraded to the most incredible set of rooms-the Carlos Suite. We literally lived like Royalty. Absolutely everything was thought of at this hotel. The staff just beautiful and do helpful. The facility stunning and the location safe quiet and relaxed. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay as it’s an epic experience in itself-breakfast and bar beautifully rolled out. Not in the old part of town but such easy access it’s worth staying Enjoy and thank you Pestana for a great stay 💙 the Australian 3

“Exceptional Experience”

Overall, my stay at Pestana hotel was outstanding. The combination of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service made it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel. The service was top-notch. Thank you for making my stay so memorable.

Where to start with Pestana Palace . I preface by saying .. i love a hotel with character and charm and would take faded glamour all day over a corporate dull 5 star . Sadly ,while faded glamour is one thing .. the main problem with this hotel is that the rooms in the more newly built wings are completely paper thin . you can hear your next door neighbour having a conversation so if you are unlucky as we were to be next door to a more rawkus affair .. its not ideal . The staff changed our room for us very gracefully and to be fair the second room was MUCH quieter but was on its own at the end of a corridor ,so i think if you are unlucky enough to stay in a normal room ,one would always be exposed to some form of noise . The staff were adorable ,and couldn't do enough for us . Breakfast was good .. great options . No granola ,but salad items and smoked salmon especially good. Bar was nice but again we visited later in the evening and the hotel was so full with events and parties ,when we popped in for quick food around 10pm , there were no tables clean . and all tables were with dirty food items still . The staff just couldn't keep up . Once we were seated tho ,the food was good and non alcoholic cocktails nice. this was similar with the pool area restaurant . My husband went in for a coffee and all the tables were dirty . Such a shame . The exterior and grounds are gorgeous .. pool and spa great ,even though sauna was out of action .. room cleaning excellent . Overall the general vibe is v good .but these few things really marred our stay . ive given 4 stars just as i do love a hotel with character and for all its faults ... pestana would still be a potential choice if you get the right room .

Pros: the grounds are gorgeous, as is the main building (palace) where you will not stay (no rooms in the historic structure). The staff are incredibly helpful; notably, they got me a hard-to-get restaurant reservation. Cons: this is not the hotel for you if you have any kind of mobility issues. ... more

Pros: the grounds are gorgeous, as is the main building (palace) where you will not stay (no rooms in the historic structure). The staff are incredibly helpful; notably, they got me a hard-to-get restaurant reservation. Cons: this is not the hotel for you if you have any kind of mobility issues. There are stairs everywhere, and elevators provide only a partial solution; some areas, including my room, just had to be accessed via stairs. Also, the rooms, while large, are very dated.
