My wife and I stayed at the NH Campo Grande Lisboa whilst attending a conference at the nearby university. It was out first experience with an NH hotel, and I must say that it was a very positive, indeed, most memorable stay indeed. From the time that we registered until our checkout more than a week later, the hotel staff very much lived up to their excellent reputation as friendly, helpful, professional and welcoming. Checking in was easy and cordial; the staff (especially Paula T.) made one feel very much at home, offering recommendations on how to get about town and answering our many questions. Our room (1205) was on the top floor and as such, provided a lovely view of the city below. All was very clean, attractive and most importantly, comfortable. As other reviewers here have mentioned, the hotel is located under the flight path of the Lisbon airport, but the noise was minimal and not at all disturbing, being for the most part effectively dampened by the large double windows. One writer here wrote of the hotel external display lighting which was said to be disturbing. For our part, this was certainly not at all the case, as at night we closed the heavy 'blackout' curtains when retiring for the evening. We also dined at the hotel, both for breakfast each day and on occasion for dinner. The breakfast buffet was large and varied offering a host of delicious choices. Dinner was likewise excellent. The restaurant staff (especially Joaquim, Manuel, Mauri and Pedro) was very friendly and always helpful. The portions were very generous and the wine perfect for the meals we so enjoyed. Finally, although the NH Campo Grande lies outside of the city center, it is but a short ride via taxi, Metro or bus from those areas most sought out by visitors. In all, whilst in Lisbon, might I most heartily and highly recommend that you make the NH Lisboa Campo Grande your choice for your home away from home.

“Lovely hotel in lovely Lisbon”

I was very pleased with the accomodation; The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional, My room was comfortable with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious, and consisted of large arrey of options. Roomservice was very kind, quick, and considerate. Access from/to the airport is ideal.

I stayed in room 1102 (the second highest level) and the room was good except for the mechanical noise (it may have been the external air conditioning). I stayed in room 1102 (the second highest level) and the room was good except for the mechanical noise (it may have been the external air conditioning). It wasn't too annoying but I did wear earplugs to go to sleep. I would bring earplugs just in case. The hotel location is good, it is close to the airport and there are nearby metro options. Be prepared to plan your trips and changes to the tourist attractions however! Breakfast was good. There was an adequate selection but you have to request for your eggs to be cooked. There were no scrambled eggs in the buffet. I appreciated the daily complementary water in my room. However I would have appreciated an option to skip room service for a free drink that other NH hotels offered. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience and I would consider staying here again.

Pros - -Gave us an available room when we arrived early -Great breakfast Cons- -When we shut off the hall light and/or the light next to the bed when we were ready for bed, it cut off power to all the other lights and outlets. I sleep with a cpap so had to have my medical equipment plugged into the wall outlet to sleep as well as wanting to charge our phones. So we slept with the bright hall light on all night to have power in the outlet. -TV did not turn on. We didn't call to fix because we were fine without it. -They pump an air freshener smell throughout hotel and we both found it very strong and not particularly pleasant. It wasn't as strong in the bedroom but this is probably biggest reason I wouldn't want to go back. -FYI The pictures shown for room was not what our room was like, which was fine, we were not in the modern room but I wonder if that was why we had the electrical problems. Stayed in G6.
