Our three-night stay here was just what we needed - a tad of luxury after 3 weeks of roaming around Morocco. Centrally located, we had the choice of walking to the main squares or taking the subway, whose station was right outside the door. The room was spacious and quiet, the reception desk accommodating and humourous, but it was the breakfast room that will remain with us: the assortment of food and drinks left nothing to be desired, and the head waitress/maître d was indeed wonderful, looking after this aging couple with menu items such as omelets, even bringing us flutes of champagne for our early morning pre-departure meal.(how did she know?) If perchance we are again in Lisbon , then we already know where we shall be staying.

I have been to other NH hotels, but unfortunately I would say this one did not meet expectations. Location was great, staff were great. Room 905, that we stayed you would think would have a great view being so high. But no, you looked out onto a concrete wall. Rooftop pool and bar were closed, although reception said you could get up there you could not. Gym was tiny with no windows. Breakfast area on first floor, although the food was good, again no view. In the room, the floor planks had gaps between them, and there was clearly some building works going on above us as there was a fair amount of drilling being done,

The property’s location is quite convenient, situated approximately a 10-minute walk from the main square and a further 7 minutes to the riverfront. The area between the square and the riverfront is bustling with numerous restaurants, offering a variety of dining options. However, my overall experience at the property was somewhat disappointing. Despite being a Titanium member, the room I was assigned lacked any noteworthy view, featuring only a small window overlooking a neighboring building. There was no recognition of my loyalty status during check-in, and I received no greeting or acknowledgment throughout my stay. Additionally, I was not offered any room upgrade, which is typically a benefit for Titanium members. As a form of compensation for the lack of upgrade, breakfast—an amenity for Titanium members—was provided. Unfortunately, the service at the bar was subpar, with staff displaying a rude attitude. Overall, the staff fell short of the expected hospitality standards for a five-star property, particularly in their handling of loyalty guests.Shall not return.
