“Fantastic location to explore Lisbon.”

Hotel located very close to the main square in Lisbon. Hop on/off buses in easy walking distance and a direct walk to river plaza area 15 minutes. Heaps of dinning options. Nice room, lots of space, good shower. Great breakfast. Most staff helpful, English tricky for a couple.

The My Story Hotel Tejo was a little hard to find in the car but then seems like a lot of hotels are hard to find in these medieval cities. It did not help that we landed there during the Aril 25 weekend either, crowded! The hotel was modern and clean, we were on an upper floor, we splurged and got a suite thinking we were not going out for dinner. At this time after 10 days of our month vacation to Spain and Portugal my wife was tiring out. I was going to go downstairs and get something form the in-house restaurant, but it was closed for a private affair, I hate that when you think you have the convivence of an on-property restaurant, but then they are closed. They never tell you that when you book. We also had a couple of hotels where we were on a square that was under construction, they didn't tell that either. I picked up some sandwiches at a store around the corner, a bottle of wine and we dined in the room. We slept well. The clerk told my wife where the parking was, I think she got confused, we rode around in circles until I finally said, here is a parking garage, we are parking here. When we walked back, 15 minuets, mostly downhill, but thinking it's going to be uphill we need the car to leave. When I went out for sandwiches, the parking garage is almost next to the hotel, but the one ways streets make it hard to get there. Oh well, it worked. When we did leave, I could not find the pay station, there was an office but no one there, the pay stating is in front of the office but it's on the backside of wall, not noticeable. Then, glad I had cash, it doesn't take credit cards.

“Nice stay in Lisbon”

This was a good place to stay in Lisbon. The room was lovely, although I had a view of a wall behind the hotel. But that meant it was very quiet! Terrific breakfast - I went down early to get coffee then down a little while later for a big variety of choices.

Tejo is a perfectly nice, functional hotel. Very centrally located 3 mins from Rossio metro station and close to the castle (a hilly walk, Lisbon is very hilly!). Tejo is a perfectly nice, functional hotel. Very centrally located 3 mins from Rossio metro station and close to the castle (a hilly walk, Lisbon is very hilly!). My room was simple and clean, good-sized shower, strong water pressure. I’ve given it a 3-star rating on what they don’t tell you in advance, which is that half the rooms look into an internal lightwell, with barely any natural light coming into the room as a result. The well is only 6 or 7 metres wide so multiple other rooms can see directly into your room, so you can’t leave the curtains open. Which all goes to make the internal rooms feel like a bit like a prison cell. So, if you’re staying, make sure to get an external-facing room.
