I stayed for 2 evenings. the room was very spacious with a huge bed, and a nice table to work from. There was a turn down service which was an unexpected luxury. ALL members of staff that I interacted with were extremely helpful, and created a great atmosphere. The Erva Restaurant was superb - a great choice of food, all booked beautifully, so unusually I visited the restaurant for for the 2nd evening as well - on this occasion the waitress gave me her recommendations, which I took, and so was graced with an amazing starter of mushrooms in garlic, and the biggest plate of slow cooked ribs that I have ever seen - she took great pleasure in telling me how the Portuguese loved their large portions of meat , and kept providing words of encouragement that I could finish it - but, despite this, I could only manage half! It was gorgeous though I will stay here the next time I'm in Lisbon without any hesitation - easily one of the best hotel experiences I have had this year (and I have spent about 60 nights in hotels this year)

“Stellar Staff”

We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel as part of our Viking Cruise package. Although not in central tourist area, there are several restaurants near by as well as the metro station is across the street. We had no problem with finding Uber or Taxi. The Viking tour desk in the lobby was very handy and the Viking host Hugo was lovely-so helpful, thoughtful. The hotel is very beautiful and the staff could not be kinder. The breakfast buffet was fantastic!! So many beautiful choices! Our room was very lovely and elegant with a view of Lisbon below. I loved the bathroom products provided. They smell so nice. The staff had a chilled bottle of champange waiting for us in our room on our anniversary. What a thoughtful touch! But the greatest thing about the hotel was the night manager Goncalo Paulo. Unfortunately, my husband had a slip and fall while walking on wet cobblestones, which necessitated a trip to the Emergency Room in Lisbon, cancelling of our cruise and need to fly back home due to an ankle fracture. Goncalo showed such compassion. He immediately brought a wheelchair to the front door and wished us up to our room. He went to a local pharmacy at midnight to pick up my husband's new prescription. And he came with us to the airport in a taxi and waited with us until we checked in our bags at the Air Canada check in counter. (ps, the Lisbon airport is very very difficult to navigate, especially in a wheelchair). He was the highlight of our stay. What a manager!! So our 14 day Portugal trip was cut short to 2 days due to the fall and fracture, and need to return home, but the Corinthia Hotel made that very difficult process so much easier. We would never hestitate to return to the Corinthia.

We stayed here on the first two nights of a Viking cruise tour. We were so happy with this hotel. It was very lux. The lobby was beautiful, especially in the evening as they had candles (safe, electronic ones) staged along with fresh flower displays. They have a spa, which we did not visit, but it looked quite nice. The security in the hotel was notable, as your key card worked the elevator, but only to the floor of your room. Our room was clean, and the bed very comfortable. There are a few restaurants in the hotel, and we ate at two of them. We ate at the Erva the first evening, and that was very good. Our package included breakfast, and the breakfast served at their restaurant Olivae was incredible! SO much food…..so little stomach space! Stations of fruits, baked goods, made to your order omelets, (and bread…the bread in Europe is just so much better than anything you can get here in the States) There was even a station where a gentleman was carving various meats for you to enjoy. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The coffee was very good as well! The front desk staff were quite helpful. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the Biaxa area as the Corinthia is not within walking distance of it. It runs on a schedule, and the desk staff will inform you of it. A tip (haha, pun intended) is if you need smaller denominations of your Euros for gratuities, the front desk will do that for you.

“Probably would not return here”

This is a nIce hotel with wonderful, helpful concierge. The back garden restaurant is nice but somewhat overpriced. Know that you will be charged the hotel rates plus very high additional fees. The food service is slow, even for European standards.
