“Great location but the hotel needs improvement”

It is a fantastic location - right in the hear of Makati and next to places to eat and shop and the erstwhile Ayala triangle which is sadly a small green area. The hotel is nice and thankfully not a high rise. They were able to provide me an early check-in, which was great! the room is really nice and cosy. Living area and bedroom separate. Bed clean and comfy. Warm water in the shower. The noise level is a problem as the windows do not cut off the traffic noise which can get disturbing at night. Breakfast - disappointing though some regular items were on the buffet (bread, fruits etc) and and choice from the menu for the mains. The gym needs reworking as the cycle was not working well as they need to upgrade the equipment. Despite this, I would not mind staying here again. Its just relaxing after a long day at work or travel

I stayed in the one bedroom executive suite. This room is very nice, clean, and spacious. The only update needed was to change the original windows in the room (from the 1970's), as there was was a 1" gap in the bathroom window where noise and hot air could get in. I stayed in the one bedroom executive suite. This room is very nice, clean, and spacious. The only update needed was to change the original windows in the room (from the 1970's), as there was was a 1" gap in the bathroom window where noise and hot air could get in. The Staff are nice and very helpful. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It's not a buffet. It is a plated breakfast (2 eggs, cheap meat like spam, and rice). The buffet part consists of melon, coffee, juice, and bread and butter (that is all). I had to supplement my breakfast every day with my own hardboiled eggs. The gym is small but had decent equipment. Overall, it was a nice stay

This hotel could be greater with some changes. I think with some changes to the breakfast buffet, the check in lobby, the elevator and the rooms that the hotel could rate higher with guest satisfaction. First they need to focus on quality of the breakfast food options for the included meal. The Japanese food breakfast and some of the filipino meals were not as quality from my experience. The best one I had was the Tapsilog, but it could be better if they offered two eggs with it. The Japanese options were not well made. I tried it and coming from Hawaii it was not up to par. I saw several Japanese and Korean guests try those Japanese breakfast options and they did not like them at all. The check in lobby could use a change in decor or layout, the setup looks outdated and not accommodating. The elevators definitely need an update, the control/floor panels were already so worn out that the numbers were not clear and the paneling was coming off. The rooms are very spacious but seems to lack furnishings (i.e. running table and paintings) to make the room more refined or finished. The wifi was so slow it was almost unusable and the TVs seemed too small for the entertainment center. On the plus side, the gym was not too bad and the pool was cute. Ms. Denise from the reception desk also was very helpful on my late check in. I would like to go back since the price was exceptional. But the issues above makes me choose more expensive options for more comfort and experience.
