“2024 update Citadel Inn”

Place has changed the way it operates. it is not so much a hotel anymore and more of an apartment building that property owners rent out on various booking sites. “Saks lang...”

Booked there so when can watch the Christmas Light presentation in Ayala Triangle and also to walk around Makati at night. The building is obviously old, same with the unit where we saw baby roaches but space-wise and affordability - it's okay. The unit has microwave, personal ref, good airconditio… more

“Average but worth it”

Love the place and location. Average room and nothing special since you paid on a affordable price. One thing is the old elevator that needs a renovation immediately. Parking is the only problem you need to do since you are at the heart of makati area

  • Yes, guests at Citadel Inn Makati have highlighted that: Place has changed the way it operates. it is not so much a hotel anymore and more of an apartment building that property owners rent out on various booking sites. It is still possible to book it as a hotel room but be prepared for absolute minimal facilities compared to if you rent it directly from a private host or landlord. The biggest change to anyone who knows about this place and the street it is on is that no visitors are allowed in at night time and the security guards on the door are very strict about this. With no 24 hour desk, the security guards are the ones who decide who is allowed in! I first stayed in this hotel in 2006 - for a month. A few other times since over the past 20 years or so. Recently was there in April 2024 for four days Makati business trip. I booked via a private host and was provided with a fully equipped studio - but it was not cheap. So, one one hand yes it still is the cheapest hotel around (if booked as a hotel room) but going private will cost you double. Oh and be aware that the hotel does not have any wifi. Only the private hosts' rooms supply it.
