We are 2 Canadian female friends who stayed 4 nights - booked through Exoticca. Our 1st day we were dropped off at hotel by Exoticca Rep late afternoon and we checked in. The hotel is located in an "industrial" area. ie: area where cars are fixed, windshields replaced etc.... The hotel offers a very poor breakfast (our opinion! )... toast and strawberry jam was what we had. There was dry cereal, "kinda" scrambled eggs, pieces of sausage/hotdogs (?), ham/cheese slices and thick coffee. The Hotel has no restaurant. Reception suggested a very nice restaurant 5 blocks away that we walked to, La Quinta. This restaurant area was very nice and a few more blocks was the square and other restaurants. Also the Textile factory and market was close to restaurant. Overview of hotel: As 2 females, we never felt unsafe but felt a solo female might. There were no restaurants close by...10 to 15 minute walk. Breakfast was unsatisfactory. Room 5/10. Heaters in room. Hot water. The hotel room was "comfortable" and made up daily. Elevator. Staff helpful. Very old hotel but most areas were maintained. Reception area dark and chilly....

“Average and not in a great area”

Hotel is located about a 20 minute walk through some unpleasant streets from the main centre, but not in a great location, as it’s on a main road and surrounded by small hut style car repair shops. So throughout the night, you will get trucks and as it sits close to a junction, cars and motor bikes… more

Hotel is located about a 20 minute walk through some unpleasant streets from the main centre, but not in a great location, as it’s on a main road and surrounded by small hut style car repair shops. So throughout the night, you will get trucks and as it sits close to a junction, cars and motor bikes that constantly sound there horn. There are also a number of dogs, that I assume guard the shops, so they bark throughout the night. Our room was located on the 5th floor at the front, so we had the worst of it. The rooms were large and there were 2 double beds, but the shower could only accommodate 1 and a half showers, so whoever goes second, gets a running hot and cold shower. Opening the window can be a little unpleasant, as it’s smells and it’s dusty from the road. The breakfast room on the 6th floor, has a small toaster machine and there’s some fresh fruit available. There was no cold milk, so the cereal on offer was avoided. Apart from that, there was little else. As we were travelling early to Machu Picchu, we did request a 4am alarm call from reception, but sadly this wasn’t forthcoming. Fortunately we had set alarms ourselves as a back up. When we ventured downstairs to exit, the front door was locked and we couldn’t get out ! After some frantic shouting, we managed to get someone’s attention and they showed us a side exit. Not a great stay and I would recommend travellers find accommodation closer to the square

Hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the city centre in a fairly uninspiring area. Room was adequate. Bed had 4 heavy old blankets on it. Shower was not great with the temperature varying. Hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the city centre in a fairly uninspiring area. Room was adequate. Bed had 4 heavy old blankets on it. Shower was not great with the temperature varying. Breakfast was pretty limited. Cereals laid out but no cold milk to put on them. Stayed as ,part of a tour group and not sure of hotel prices in Cusco but would avoid this hotel if visiting Cusco unless it was significantly cheaper than other hotels.
