We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The location can't be beat. The hotel is old, but it grew on us after staying there for a few days. The positives:1) great location - u are next door to everything. 2) shower is strong and hot, although the temperature may fluctuate a bit. (I rather they have hot water than no hot water). 3) you can ask the reception for a hair dryer, and this hair dryer is strong (vs in most hotels, the hair dryer doesn't dry anything). 4) the staff try to please. 5) Breakfast has make to order omelett. 5) Toilet flushes well. So I think this hotel has all the basics that u need.

“Stealing happening in hotel, despite the good location”

Great location, just minute away from the plaza, good room with all the necessity. however, i experienced my airpod being stolen in the hotel when I stored my backpack with the hotel. the hotel manager was making excuses and never owned the mistake. I spent hours both in Cusco and back in US, and ended up filing case to the Cusco police station and Peru customer protection department. what an experience - not recommending to anyone who's looking for a safe and secure place to stay.

“in the center but very loud”

The hotel is in the center, so you can discover many restaurants and sights on foot. The rooms are old and very noisy. You can hear not only the street noise extremely well, but everything that goes on around you. We weren't impressed with the breakfast. The most positive thing was the egg station.… more

You can hear not only the street noise extremely well, but everything that goes on around you. We weren't impressed with the breakfast. The most positive thing was the egg station. We wouldn't return to this hotel.

Conveniently located in the heart of Cusco we had high hopes when we entered this historic hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, offering is tea for the altitude in front of the log fire. However, this is a basic, old and not well kept premises. The beds were rock hard, the pillows solid lumps of granite and everything looked worn out. The room was clean but really in need of a make over. No refrigerator, no tea or coffee facilities, noisy wooden floors and light coming through the inadequate curtains on the large window facing the indoor courtyard. I already was struggling with poor sleep due to the altitude and I slept badly. Breakfast was basic but freshly made and the coffee was decent. Unfortunately our tours left early in the morning so we didn’t get to enjoy it for 2 of the 3 days we stayed there. The staff obliged by providing a boxed breakfast which was appreciated. In fact, the staff, especially the concierge were helpful and generous with their efforts.
