It was a quick stopover for a night at Scandic Oslo City for the meeting, and then back. On my first stay, I was treated to a doublebed room with all the necessary amenities at arm's reach (such as fridge, iron, electric kettle, hairdryer, etc.) For my second stay, I have got single bed room with the same type of amenities but at the very end of the corridor. The rooms' insulation is apparently not so good, since I could distinctly hear different noises behind the doors every time when walking through a maze of corridor paths. Beyond that, the hotel served its purpose well, which includes offering a lavish buffet breakfast and luggage storage facilities. Right next to the City Centre and Central Railway Station, the hotel location could not be any better.

“Great location, very nice rooms”

Central hotel, with lovely light rooms and great service! Right in the centre of Oslo, close to everything and with spacious rooms with a modern and fresh design. Great breakfast as well - great for a business trip!

Have many nights here through the years. I review the hotel now and then. My experience regarding rooms here are kind of hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes not usable. This time i got a sauna without a window to open. Im moderate if I say it was 25-27 degrees in the room. It was also placed a huge fan in the room. That fact says me that this room had been reported as hot before my stay as well…. Not an option for me staying in a sauna. Reception sorted it by moving me to another room. Also upgraded me to superior. Therefore my review here will focus on the superior room, and not the first assigned sauna. Really nice, fresh, spacious room with a sofa. Working desk, coffee and nice bathroom. Good wifi, nice bed and good tv. Even a small fridge. Hotel itself is old and tired. But the superior room was a positive surprise. Nice. Staff are excellent as usual. Always smiling and polite. Some of them in the reception I have seen here for many many years. Good sign. You cant beat the location and breakfast are excellent. If you are lucky with the room roulette, this hotel nails it on most areas.

Breakfast busy, great variety of food. It did feel like anyone could walk into the hotel without being challenged and I think people may have been doing that for breakfast … Would stay again.
