“I have no complaints. A budget hotel but at least the money flows to the local economy not a multinational hotel chain”
The Hotel Ani is as the reviews say a small budget hotel which is adequate to stay a night or two whilst you are in Skopje. “Average place, perfect for short stay”
I've stayed in Hotel Ani 2 times and it was ok. The staff was spoken perfect English and I paid my accommodation cash. The breakfast was good and the rooms were good. It's very close to the Macedonia Square so the location was ideal. I

“Basic”
Negatives: Poorly located (unless you want the Greek Embassy, which is next door!). The city centre is a 20 minutes walk, minimum. My room was up in the gods, had peeling wallpaper and smelt of damp. “Sunday”
Good location. Though bit on the basic side and quite small. Staff was helpful and managed to assist our needs on Sunday. Breakfast only included "one drink" croissant and a boiled egg bit scant. Easy to get there from the bus station and enjoyed the neighbourhood
