“First night in New Zealand”

After a 13-hour flight, I arrived at the Ackland Hilton. It was conveniently near the cruise ship pier that I would leave from the next day. Excellent rooms and excellent restaurant. Good views from the hotel to the surrounding area. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is located close by.

I liked this property. It's in a great location - right at the end of the wharf. It's an easy walk to stores and restaurants and wharf tourism areas. The property is about a 30 minute drive to the airport. Uber costs around 50 to 60 and cars are always close by. The room was very comfortable and decent sized with a nice balcony. The bathroom was good - the A/C was excellent. The wifi was often unstable - so there's that. But the desk staff were great. Overall a good spot and a good stay - I'd return.

True Gem Among Hilton Properties Having stayed at over 100 plus hotels in the Hilton group globally, I can confidently say that the Hilton Auckland is up there as one of the very best. From its prime location to its exceptional staff, this property delivers that warm comforting experience. The location is superb, situated right next to Auckland’s vibrant shopping areas, excellent restaurants, and cruise ship terminals, with breathtaking ocean views that add a magical touch to your stay . Even before my arrival, the concierge team, particularly Mr. Gustavo , Mark & Ms Yveline went above and beyond to ensure my trip was seamless. From organizing transport and excursions to securing restaurant reservations, their customer-oriented approach truly set the tone for a remarkable stay. I was checked in by Mr Sung very pleasant gentleman. Breakfast was another highlight, with an extensive variety of options . The breakfast staff were efficient and attentive, ensuring the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Throughout my stay, every interaction with the team from room service to housekeeping & Mr Arash who met at the elevator reinforced the hotel’s commitment to excellence. The staff’s professionalism and warm hospitality made all the difference. For anyone planning a trip to Auckland, I highly recommend making Hilton Auckland your home away from home. It offers everything you could ask for in a luxurious and well-managed property, ensuring a memorable and relaxing stay.

Had two nights in Auckland (weather was lousy). The Hilton sits in a great location, the breakfast is great, rooms nice (bathroom was huge) and the staff as helpful as you need them to be. Lobby area has a nice bar - on the Friday night we were there they had opera singers belting out their stuff, deffo different - and a fire was lit, so all very cosy. We'd happily stay there again.
