“Amazing, how appropriately named….just like a mirage in the desert!!!”
What a unique experience to be able to stay in luxury in the middle of a desert with animals at the waterhole for company and attentive staff such as Dezeree (sorry if I spelt your name wrong…. “Beautiful isolated stay in Sossusvlei”
Le Mirage is in the middle of nowhere. There are three similar buildings in the small complex: one that houses the restaurant, one with the reception and some guest rooms, and one with the spa, pool and more rooms. “Beautiful Luxury hotel in the middle of the desert! I really did wonder if it was a Mirage!”
This place was exceptional! It blew me away with its beauty and comfort. The Staff was great as well! I highly recommend. You can't get a better location for the area!

“Wonderful hotel, great service”
We spent two nights at Le Mirage on our weekend trip to Sossusvlei. Arriving on Friday, just before sunset, we received a very warm welcome, offered cool towels to freshen up from our journey, and iced tea. “Unique Stay”
Rooms are out dated in design - Linens and towels and bedding aren't changed daily - the hot water didn't work and towel rack broke at one point.. I think alot of maintenance is needed as well as staff training. Spoke to a very rude receptionist - regarding sundowners and she left me very upset. ... more
