The Hotel Rembrandt is located on a major street (Mohammed V Boulevard) with an easy 10-minute walk to the medina, a 2 minute walk to a lower-level modern grocery store, multiple mini-marts, a great Indian restaurant, Sarayah Food, and other restaurants. The hotel includes a full-service restaurant, views of the harbor and the Strait of Gibraltar, a small elevator, AC, and everything you would expect in a hotel. Having been around since 1950, it may show a few signs of age, but don't most of us. The concierge will graciously provide anything you need during your stay and exhibits the pure definition of his position. The wifi was reliable and relatively fast 80 or 90mbps up and down. We have no issues and would stay here again.

My first trip abroad was to Tangier with my friend, last June 2023 We spent most of the 5 days in the hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly, offering us new local foods to try. The pool was nice and relaxing, room was decently sized. Only downside I would say was the wifi was quite slow and would cut out quite often. Mohammed, our waiter from the restaurant on site was amazing, friendly and we have not forgotten about him. Coming from England we had a lot do people asking us where we were from, nevertheless everyone was lovely and I would definitely visit again!!

I feel bad giving this hotel 3 stars because there were many really good things about this hotel but 1 major issue that in all honesty ruined the stay. So firstly the good - - The staff - 5/5. So friendly, helpful and kind. - The food - Excellent if very expensive (by Moroccan standards). It would be great to see more Moroccan food on the menu. - Breakfast - Good. The odd weird item (garlic bread for breakfast??) but there was always something tasty to eat. - Pool area - lovely and beautifully decorated. - Location - really centrally located, convenient and lovely view over the port. - Hotel itself is a quirky 50s building with nice features. - Wifi - excellent in all parts of the hotel. However the main issue was the nightclub is far, far too loud. We had to move rooms (from 2nd floor) halfway through the holiday and could STILL hear it on the 4th floor (the nightclub is in the basement!) Some nights it went on til 4am. It was at least 2am every night. Then the people coming back to their rooms, talking loudly, slamming doors etc. There's NO soundproofing. I felt sorry for families staying with young children. We were so tired we didnt have the energy to do much in the day - enforced relaxing at least I suppose. The rooms are also a bit tired, the first was fine the 2nd room had a lot of mould in the grouting round the bath. Its such a shame because the hotel has the potential to be really excellent but I just dont think a really loud nightclub (open to the public) and a hotel where people want to sleep / relax / recharge work together in the same vicinity.
