This is quite an old hotel with some fairly outdated rooms and fittings, however it has a real charm and a feel from another decade which makes its more inviting. It is actually in a good location for tjhe Medina and other older areas. The staff are all really smart in bow ties or national dress and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good with omelette and other nice pastries. Bed is a bit small and after my 3 nights I had to leave for the next leg of my trip.

“Great location in Tangier but please remember that not everyone can tolerate jazz!”

The staff are the Hotel's biggest asset! They were very, very helpful and a huge plus (especially the porters and bar staff). I managed to communicate effectively with a mix of English, Franglais and Spanglais! The location is perfect and you're less than half a mile from everything. There's some great restaurants nearby (Indian Spice is a cracker but if you want a traditional Moroccan tagine you MUST go Dar Harruch in the Medina). The rooms are mostly good as the hotel is gradually being upgraded but I guess it can be a mixed bag. We were lucky and got one of the recently modernised ones after the shutter locked up on our first room (we we're moved without any fuss). Breakfast is fairly basic but plentiful. The local lady making fresh msemmen, in the corner, is a masterstroke! So tasty! The WiFi can be hit and miss sometimes but mostly it's adequate. T he single biggest turn-off is the owner's not-so-easy-listening, self-indulgent karaoke (we labelled him "Le chat étranglé") and the constant jazz music in the bar/restaurant. The dreadful jazz music permeates the day and nearly every night (he sometimes sings in the day too or gets his mate, a jazz pianist, to play). I'm afraid his singing days are long gone. Painful! Btw, remember you are in a busy and vibrant city so the evenings can be noisy mainly due to the local drivers and their love of the car horn and a few places close by that have live music. Saturday night is especially busy both in and outside the hotel. On the whole we really enjoyed our stay. A cheap and very cheerful way to explore the wonderful city of Tangier.

“Good place to stay”
Situated in the busy centre of Tangier this is a good choice for a few nights. It seems to be quite an old historical building. The bathroom was quite badly-lit. Check-in was very quick and most of the staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good with the option of omelettes and pancakes made to order. There is also a garden and swimming pool. They also arranged a taxi to the airport for a relatively good price of 150 Dh.

“Good Location”
The hotel has a good location. There are plenty of plugins. Wifi works well. Air conditioning keeps rooms at a good temperature. Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet. The hotel could have been cleaner and the breakfast has limited choices. I would stay again.
