“Beautiful stay in Kasbah, Marrakesh”
Stayed here for 3 nights after staying in Marrakesh for 4 days already. This riad’s location is good, much quieter than other areas of the medina. And less intense which make a nice change from our previous riad. But it is quite a wee walk (25 mins or so) from jemaa el fna square just to note. W… more
Stayed here for 3 nights after staying in Marrakesh for 4 days already. This riad’s location is good, much quieter than other areas of the medina. And less intense which make a nice change from our previous riad. But it is quite a wee walk (25 mins or so) from jemaa el fna square just to note. We stayed in the Essaouira room (junior suite), an upstairs room. It was spacious. The room was quite dark inside due to lack of outside windows but that was fine, nice bedside lights. The shower was superb, good temperature and pressure. Bath also available. Very soft bed… There is a pool downstairs (we didn’t swim, not warm enough) and a rooftop with seats and sun loungers. Both areas are lovely. Rooftop provides views of High Atlas Mountains. The whole Riad is very ascetically pleasing! You can tell a lot of work goes into maintaining it so full credit to all staff. Breakfast was included & was nice, traditional Moroccan. Fresh fruit was dlish! There was an option to order food in their restaurant for lunch or dinner but we didn’t. We booked an airport transfer through the Riad which was very efficient! €15 one way.

Really highly recommend this riad, it’s centrally located right in the Kasbah and short walk to the souks and many restaurants and cafes. But, the reason I rate it 5/5 is the effort and service provided by its staff. Everyone at Palais Calipau was so helpful and eager to assist, it really made our stay that much more enjoyable. And for anyone concerned about the heat in Marrakech (as I was) the pool and air conditioning is 10/10. You will not know it’s hot while in the riad!

Was greeted by a gentleman called Said and he gave a good overview of what to expect in Marrakech (our first time). Very welcoming and the riad is truly gorgeous. We stayed at one of the rooms on ground floor for the first 2 nights (Fez); room was rather dark with minimal lighting. But this room has got so much character; rather amazing with a cave-ish layout. The third night, we had a different room (Dharkala) with better lighting but the switches work strangely; a master light switch that turns off your bedside lamps. It has a squarish layout and very conducive for luggage and bags etc A big shoutout to Hamzah, Said and Abdul for being hospitable and helpful. Thank you for all the assistance and answering our queries. Also thank you to the housekeeping staff for keeping things clean :) Pool is great. Take photos! Breakfast is good too - cooked upon arrival. Pity we could only enjoy breakfast at the top on only one day. You can get nice wraps and shawarma + grocery shop outside of the riad area; just 3min walk. There’s also a few shops that sells souvenirs if you need to shop last minute. Prices are decent. Highly recommended place to stay. A tad of a walk to the main area but you can get a taxi to bring you there for 5euros

This is just wonderful to stay here,extremly friendly staff that will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Great location,very clean. Breakfast was good. “Ah-Mazing! Would book again!”

It's in great location, only 15 min walk from night Market. There is a nearby taxi stand. As a tourist from the riad to Jardin Majorelle we paid 50MAD for 3 adults as of Feb 2024. Also bargain your heart out in the medinas
