We stayed for 5 nights, it was cozy and very well located, we had a great time! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, even though we barely managed to communicate (we spoke English and Spanish, and attempted a bit of French). They had no problem welcoming us at 2am, and having us leave at 4am because of our flights (even gave us breakfast before our flight back!). They organized a taxi for us from the airport and back, with the driver getting us to the very front door and making sure we get in safe. The owner met with us to discuss if we were interested in any tours (speaking in English) and was very kind. Overall the room and common areas are very clean, even though the rooms themselves are visibly old and could do with some repairs, but nothing specific worth noting. We were there during the heatwave in July and the air conditioning was a lifesaver. Of course it's not a modern and pristine hotel, but for a budget friendly place it was amazing! And not to mention the interior view and gorgeous decoration of the common areas!

I stayed at the Riad a week ago with my sister and my young nephew. We has a great time, the room was clean, the food was delicious and it not too far from the market but what makes this place really special is the people that we met during our stay. We arrived really tired at 2 am but Souffiane and his uncle Houssiane were waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome making us feel at home right away. Naima and Amal made a delicious breakfast every morning and were always receiving us with a smile and even helping my nephew to sit by adjusting his chair. Souffiane was great, nothing seems to much for him, he was always available and willing to help us. He even got us a tea pot and glases on the last day, so we could take it home. Thanks again for everything, we miss u.

+ Very beautiful Riad and good location given the budget pricing. + Staff are very nice and helpful. + Rooms and 'public area' are generally clean and a good (albeit a bit sweet) breakfast is provided. + Area is not touristic (personal preference) with lots of small shops that carry most of the things needed (e.g. shower gel, tissues, water), but souks are less than 5 min walk away. - The shower didn't drain properly and ventilation system of the window-less bathroom also malfunctioned. - Wifi connection is hit-and-miss - Housekeeping or at least a change of towels over a 5-day period would have been appropriate (that said, had I requested it, I am sure it would have been arranged). - The place was always somewhat ill-lit, which in connection with December temperatures resulted in a bit of a gloomy atmosphere. We stayed at Riad Majhoba as a family with a small child and would stay there again. We personally don't mind the negative points listed above, as we spent most of our time in the city and because these issues were manageable. .
