My husband and I visited Riad Linda at the beginning of May. We arrived at approx 9.15pm and were greeted with mint tea and the beautiful Fadillah and happy waddi. After being shown our room we were asked what time we would like to eat. We were not expecting food as we thought we were to late. We were served an absolutely beautiful meal in a traditional tagine with side dishes. Fadillah is an amazing cook. Our room was spotlessly clean, lovely and cool due to there being no windows to the outside. There was a window facing inwards towards the courtyard to let in light. There was also air conditioning if you needed that extra bit of coolness. The bathroom was spotless and done in traditional plaster, it was beautiful. Our towels were changed daily and rooms cleaned daily also. On the first morning we were introduced to the lovely Rachid, the manager. He such a lovely gentleman, speaks exceptional English, and is lovely to have a chat with. We also met the beautiful Khadija, who does most of the housekeeping. She is such a lovely young woman, always happy and smiling. The team there went above and beyond. I am disabled and they could not do enough for me. Fadillah is a magician in the kitchen and made us the most amazing traditional meals everyday. Our breakfasts consisted of Moroccan pancake's, eggs, traditional breads, honey, preserves, and amlou, a spread made from almonds, argan oil and honey, it was stunning. All served with fresh juice, Fadillah has the most beautiful smile,and a beautiful soul. Wadii walks around with a permanent smile, and loves to have a chat. He is always here and there doing something, collecting something or moving something. Rachid was available should there be any concerns or problems. I'm not sure what anyone could find to complain about. He held himself very well when he had two very awkward customer's. They were extremely rude, but he was very much a gentleman. Khadijah is a beautiful young woman. She is always on the move doing something or other. Always busy. She has a beautiful smile and is always there to lend a hand if needed. The owner Linda was not there as she was visiting her family family at home in Scotland. We did have a lovely chat via WhatsApp. The team were beyond amazing, the riad gave us a taste of traditional Morocco and we could not have asked for more. We consider them friend's and I cried when we were leaving. We have already booked to return in September, and hopefully we will get to meet Linda. We have to go back, as my hubby said Marrakech stole our heart's. We shall hopefully be able to organise a WhatsApp video call so we can all have a catch-up. We cannot wait to return 😊
