“Very nice!!”
We stayed at Riad Assalam 3 nights and was fantastic. Really clean and close to the most important places in Marrackech! Nabil, guy who works there, was very friendly trying to help us in all the issues.

“Welcoming outstandingly friendly service”
Stayed for 6 nights. What lovely staff. Aziz is a true delight, nothing too much to ask. and the lady who provided breakfast is so cheerful. Close to the Souks, restaurants. And super clean. Really pleasant stay.

Breakfast is OK, also the accomodations are nice and the staff is friendly. Location is great, just in the center of the medina, but enough far from the chaos of Jamma El Fna. Room and bathroom cleaning could be better, also there's a nice pool, but it seems its not properly cleaned as there were the same waste and some rubbish during all our staying. Also, if someone whispers in the patio, you will hear it in your room... Nabil is a kind receptionist, but we hire a 4 days 3 nights tour to Sahara with him and everything went wrong since then. There were lot of mistakes and confusions that made our tour a non-pleasant and sometimes an scary experience. We thought was not totally his fault as there were many people during the tour that was expecting something very different, also he always answered us back (not always offering solutions or accurate information), but I would strongly advise to book your trip to the desert with a trustable agency from your country of origin, even if you pay more. In Merzouga is common to hear "they say lots of things in Marrakech, but here is different", "I'm just the driver, so you go and complain with the agency" or "this entrance is not included in your trip". Be careful with this!

“Adequate stay in a great location”
Rustic hotel a very short walk from the palaces within the medina. Lovely roof terrace and good breakfast. The staff were a little noisy at night and the room was not at all soundproofed, but other than that it's ok for a couple of nights stay.

We had a pleasant stay in the Riad however some details were missing. First of all, there's no hair dryer in the entire hotel and this can be a problem for any women with long hair, especially when it rains and only 10C outside. We ended up buying a hair dryer but this is not something you want to think about on a holiday! Trust me it wasn't easy to find one... My advise: take your own hairdryer if you think you'll need one. Secondly there's no safe in the hotel so if you have valuables you have to lock them in the suitcase and keep the passports, money with you all time. The door locks with a simple locker! that can be opened with master key however the staff is at the reception all time and the front door to the Riad is locked. We didn't have any problems at all. We stayed in the room on the top floor and it was quite spacious with a very big and comfortable bed. The shower on the other hand was quite a challenge with very weak pressure and the bathroom in general was very dark. The roof terrace is OK but not kept clean, the table was broken, sunbeds not cleaned etc... Breakfast was fine and plenty, the hotel suppose to have a restaurant but in reality it is not in the Riad so if you want to eat you have to tell way in advance so they can order the food. No snacks, drinks etc either, however there are plenty of options a few steps away on the street. Also to mention: the Riad is very quiet considering how close it is to the craziness of the Medina. You won't have any problems with noise at all. The staff is very kind and they help you with everything. If you want to know an approximate price of things you want to buy just ask them. It comes very handy when trying to bargain in the market, for taxi, etc.
