Just returned from a lovely visit to Marrakesh and stayed in the Riad Altair. This is a fantastic place to stay. We went as a family (2 adults and a teenager). When we arrived we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits. Our rooms were immaculate, peaceful and very comfortable. On our first night we ate here, the food was exceptional we had chicken pastillas, beef tajine and more mint tea. Our son even had a go at pouring it! Marrakesh is different to any other place we’ve visited - the sights, sounds, smells! Everyone was friendly from the taxi driver to the waiters to the vendors in the souks. After a busy day sightseeing the gardens, palaces etc the Riad was a tranquil place to relax and unwind. Abdou was so lovely always smiling and very friendly as was Yassine. The cooks and the maids were also lovely. We were so glad we picked this Riad to stay and would definitely recommend it

A beautiful peaceful retreat in the middle of the Medina. We enjoyed our comfortable rooms and the breakfast was delicious. We had dinner on our first evening and it was very good. Abdou the manager was most helpful in making our trip memorable. He arranged a guide, Mo who navigated the souk for us and explained the history and culture of Marrakech. The car transfer and restaurant reservations were most helpful. Thank you so much for all your help.

“Rest & relaxation & winter sun in Marrakech.”
This is a great Riad for rest & relaxation & some winter sun. While outside the hustle, bustle & noise of Marrakech is silent. This is a great Riad for rest & relaxation & some winter sun. While outside the hustle, bustle & noise of Marrakech is silent. They have a neat sliding roof which they open and close for the night which means it is much warmer than other Riads we have tried. Abdou was an ever present help to us during our stay. The food was lovely. We were lazy so went for the B&B& dinner option every day. The food was lovely. Temperatures ranged from 18 to 24 degrees in January. A day trip to the Atlas mountains is a must.
