Excellent staff and food is great! Tried extending my stay but the hotel was fully booked and with their great amenities and staff, and I fully understand why. As a Marriott Bonvoy Elite, I appreciated the upgrade I received the day before I even checked in! Arriving after midnight, the check-in was smooth and they even offered to make us some food. Room was clean and pleasant and TONS of space! The balcony was great for lounging day or night. The pools were inviting, and so was the outdoor space. The food... can't say enough good things about the quality, quantity and flavor profiles, they were very satisfying! They also work with a car service company that makes it easy to get to and from the hotel. Looking forward to booking this resort again and use the spa and services on that visit!

I read a mixture of reviews before I visited Eden Andalou for a short break Monday to Friday with my Mum (60) and daughter (12). After having a lovely holiday it seems that those writing negative things may always find something negative to wherever they go. There's a saying "you can't please everyone". I will start with the negatives, or rather, things that I personally (and some may disagree, because this is just one opinion), think could be improved. Then finish with all the positives. You aren't able to check in until 3pm. However, there's facilities such as the bathrooms to get changed in to your pool attire. Simply, pack it on the top in your suitcase with some suncream and your flip flops as you get your bands straight away which means aside not having access to your room straight away, you can access meal times and snack times and the bar. On the flip side, you don't have to check out until 12 whereas many other hotels want you out by 10am. So it really is 6 and two 3s. Pool towels: a deposit of 10 euros or 100 local is required which you can pay at reception. You then get a receipt which you take to a side building where a gentleman will provide you with a towel. Then each evening or when you are done, you can exchange for fresh one. And if they run out of clean towels, simply pick up a new one in the morning. Tourist tax. Not sure why people are saying that they were charged a large amount of money. I literally paid approx £13 per person at check in and there is a sign on reception which states the fees. I paid by card, quick and simple. Or if you have euros, they accept them and if you have British pounds - you can change your currency at the hotel. The gift shop is quite pricy. £20 plus pound for a football and approx £40 for an inflatable - but there's nowhere else to get them so, to me, it is what it is. You are left to your own devices to figure the place out and reception do not explain where things are. We were handed a piece of paper with meal times on and the times they served drinks between - up to 11pm as stated in other reviews. Personally I was fine with that. For me, I was with a child, I didn't need to be drinking in to the early hours. However, more details could be provided on check in, so I agree with that. Pool: the main pool is lovely and clean with 2 life guards on duty. It is accessible in 3 different areas. It's a nice large pool. What more can be said. Drinks: I'm sure there will have been more on offer than what I realised but I could have rose, red or white wine, beer, cocktails. There was pop for the little one and non alcoholic cocktails. We were happy enough. Rooms: clean. The room was cleaned every day. Facilities were minimal. We had a room without a balcony towards the bottom end of the complex so it was quiet. We were only there for 4 nights though so it wasn't an issue regarding the balcony. But I would make sure you have one if you are there for longer. Bottled water was stocked up each day and fresh towels provided. There was a clothes line in the bathroom above the bath which you could pull out and came in handy for whacking your swim wear over. No shower curtain and the sinks do not drain the best. The main bed is comfy but the two single beds are quite hard. It was a large enough 'suite' for three of us. Could it do with updating and a make over? I'm going to go with yes, in a few years this hotel may get left behind in terms of appearing fresh and modern (but moroccan). The TV had English channels. It was fine for me. Meal times: so at times tables needed to be reset, cleared away or table cloths changed but if you highlighted that to any staff, it was done so. There was the option to eat inside, outside, but a few different outside areas depending on what you fancied. We stuck to the main seating in the outside section. Yes there was a few wasps and I noticed a few flies but it wasn't excessive. The staff do not stop and my glass of wine was never empty. Once you were seated, your plates were cleared away efficiently. They don't lay down napkins and I always had to ask for them. Something I think they could do. Food: it's morocco. I personally try the local cuisine whilst away. If I wanted an array of English food, I would have holidayed in the UK. The omelettes for breakfast were lovely. I had fresh yoghurt and pomegranates. Plenty of pastries are available including pancakes and doughnuts. For other meals I love a salad and the salad bar was great. I like the fact that they cooked food outside each evening such as tempura, noodles, kebabs and bbq lamb or chicken. The gentleman on the pasta bar each evening whipped up wonderful pasta and mentioned that he uses some of his mum's recipes. How lovely is that. There's cheeses available at breakfast and so many deserts at lunch and evening meals. I never felt like I was limited but how much is enough for some folk. I had to request the staff to stop piling my plate up. Entertainment: I never attended any. I was happy sat on an evening whilst eating my meal and then afterwards listening to the resident duo who sang and played the piano for a few hours. It was pleasant enough. Some people as the evening went on requested songs which they obliged to and even let some holiday makers sing. But, there was entertainment provided for children 'mini disco' like most places, and, adult entertainment was at 2130. During the day the waterpark held all entertainment from aqua aerobics to water polo, table tennis tournaments and football tournaments. There was enough to be going on with if you wanted to take part. Information was displayed by the towel shack on a board. Staff: the lifeguards got involved with the 'fun'. Playing football with my little girl (who plays academy football) and throwing balls for kids in the pool. Plus the pool is open until 7pm which I thought was great. The waiting staff were attentive, had good humour, looked after you. I didn't get many names aside 'niko' who I taught how to English dance on my last night. I say taught, I forced him to have a dance - he was highly embarrassed but still did. They chatted with you and were always smiling. Nothing was too much for them. I appreciated them anyway! Service time at meals was adequate. You didn't feel rushed to have to hit a time as the hotel is generous in this aspect I thought. There's an office where you can book taxis however I would advise booking ahead. We went and booked for the soonest one, one evening and asked for a return which the return was not possible as they were full. Our own faults really. However, had we known about the taxi office we could have been more organised. Aquapark: we didn't overuse it. Spent a couple of hours over a couple of days there. We had fun. Dragged my mum on some too! There is an upper and lower weight which is 50kg for the big one with the rubber rings. It's clearly for safety! Again 80kg for what I called the UFO slide - also for safety as the speed of some of these was unreal. But my daughter was happy enough and that's all that mattered to me. Another great plus is that this hotel is only about 20 minutes from the airport! Would I visit again? Yes I would. I don't think I would do more than a week though unless I was booking excursions in etc. We visited the market one evening. 4 nights was adequate for this visit. Like any all inclusive it can become 'samey'. We still got a tan and felt like we had a break. It was a lovely time for all of us. Some areas deserved 5 stars, others 4 stats and some even 3. I'm not sure what other holiday makers paid but at just over £600 per person for our Monday to Friday, it was a great price! Rebecca, Beverly and Jess
