Lovely hotel, nice walking distance to shops, resteraunts, museums and the market. They have some great staff, the pool guy was amazing and couldn't do enough for you, always made sure you had a sun lounger and a towel. The bar staff and resteraunt staff were all friendly, nothing was too much for them. Food was delicious, we stayed full board but there was also a bar menu we could order from (this we had to pay for) Our only issue which ended the weekend on a little sour note was on check out we were told a small towel was missing from the room and we would have to pay 60dirhams to replace it - why we would want to take a small towel home I don't know so we went back to the room and picked up the towels and took them back to reception he had no choice but to pay our deposit back in full. The maid hadn't even been in the room so we think it's a little scam they have as we heard them do it to someone else as we were waiting for our transfer so be careful - also they were having trouble putting our deposit back on the card but when we told them we weren't being picked up for another 4 hours it suddenly worked!

Overall, this doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel, more 2-3. Rooms very tired looking. Sparse in furnishings and decorations. Single glazing that doesn’t properly shut - when facing the pool side and therefore Boulevard Mohamed Z, it was unbelievably loud from the street noise and honking of horns plus pool music. Quieter when moved to Rue Molay Ali side. There is no kettle in the room and no welcome water, so be sure to buy some at kiosk next door as wouldn’t drink tap water. We had no shower screen or curtain so you slightly flood the room every time you shower. Service wise we started calling it the most useless hotel in the world. They can only give you one key to the room, when a second is issued the first is overwritten. Half the time we needed to come down again as the room key didn’t work - so we ended up getting the key refreshed at reception every time before going up. Lots of people serving at the bar, only few of them do anything. Half the time the beer on draught (which is nice) doesn’t work. You order hot chocolate, you get Mokka coffee. And the list goes on… Pool area we enjoyed. Some palm trees/ plants. There were always enough lying chairs, some of them in sun, some in shade. Water was fairly cool. Played music, not too loud or intrusive. The gym is a joke unless you want to lift weights or heavy kettle bells, of which there are many. With regards to machines, it has one aerodyne cycle, two rowing machines and one broken bicycle. That’s it. It is also a very dirty and neglected room with plugs hanging out of the walls etc. Breakfast from 6.30 to 10. It is a very busy affair, frequently staples like spoons, glasses, milk, et cetera running out. The spread is quite broad including freshly made omelets and Morrocon pancakes. healthy things are few. Usually only two types of fruit, one of them whole oranges. I gave 3/5, my husband would have given 2/5

The hotel is tired and is in need of upgrading, but has a certain traditional charm. The location is in the center of the city so you are able to walk to various restaurants and amenities, but take extra care when crossing the roads as the traffic is manic! Unfortunately the hotel Spa was closed for refurbishment (which we weren’t pre advised about) and the ongoing building works were noisy at times. You could still get a few basic treatments though, which took place in one of the hotel rooms - but there are many places nearby where you can get Hammams etc. The pool area is small but the pool is clean and refreshing. The ‘pool guy’ is fantastic, unlike some of the other staff at the hotel unfortunately, who at times could be rude and don’t always tell the truth! We got the sense that some of them were ‘on the take’ so ensure sure you get receipts for everything you book including taxis! The food and drinks at the hotel were quite pricey compared to establishment nearby, so definitely worth taking a stroll out and about too. On the whole we mostly enjoyed our stay but would not actually recommend staying here to family or friends!
