“Excellent Riad with easy walking to everything in the Medina”
We stayed here for 3 nights with friends and our teenage son and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely breakfasts on the roof terrace. Mohamed was extremely helpful in giving us a detailed map of the area and we quickly got the hang of navigating our way back to the riad (even in the dark!). It's very q… more
We stayed here for 3 nights with friends and our teenage son and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely breakfasts on the roof terrace. Mohamed was extremely helpful in giving us a detailed map of the area and we quickly got the hang of navigating our way back to the riad (even in the dark!). It's very quiet and peaceful within the riad and a lovely haven in which to relax after a walk round the hectic Medina.

“Painting in the souks”

I had the most wonderful stay at Dar-hanane which was perfectly position just a short walk from the bustling souks. It was quiet. The beds, linen and pillows were just like home, and I slept brilliantly. So important when time is of an essance. I spent 4 nights enjoying wonderful breakfasts on the roof terrace, exploring and painting in the souks. I was given a clear map on arrival which gave me confidence to explore without getting too lost! I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful riad.

This was our second time in Marrakech and we thought we would go to a different riad than we previously stayed at. We found Dar Hanane here on trip advisor with lots of positive reviews and thought we should give it a try and we were not disappointed! Very quiet area of the medina, very relaxed, the staff is very nice and went above and beyond our requests. Mohamed is a GREAT host, giving us all the great tips to go around Marrakech. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and love that the welcome was with tea(which we found out was not something that other riads in other parts of Morocco would offer) Definitely recommend this place!

This was a repeat stay at Dar Hanane. It has an authentic vibe to it. It’s quite simple in its decor. The staff are all lovely and attentive. The manager Mohamed is very engaged with the guests to ensure they have a good time and he went out of way to help us. The wonderful ladies in the kitchen hosted a small cooking class for us with was both fun, tasty and informative. We have stayed stayed in both suites as well as the Berber room. I would perhaps not recommend the Douiria Suite as unusually it has a window facing the alley and there is a lot of street noise. The Grand suite is ideal due to proximity to the terrace stairs. While the rooms are lovely, we’ve spent most of our time hanging out in the sun on the terrace. which has loungers and 360 views of the city. The Berber and Beldi rooms have their own staircase (low ceiling!) and are farthest from the terrace. Some aspects of the riad are perhaps getting a little tired at the edges, like the terrace furniture, but that’s Marrakech for you.
