This was the greatest place I’ve ever stayed. It is a palace, and an oasis in the middle of the desert. It’s a hidden gem in the narrow streets of the Medina. You will experience the local life just by doing the 20 minute walk to and from the square. It actually can feel intimidating at first, but if You hire a guide through the hotel you will have no problems. They will assist you with anything you need. The staff are so amazing and personal. There are only five rooms so chances are you will have the hotel to yourself for a couple of those nights during your stay. The food is amazing. I had dinner there every night. I also had breakfast every morning and they make it whenever you wake up so you’re not rushed. Everything was 3+ courses. The hotel itself is immaculate and very ancient yet posh feeling. Golden stone and everything is carved out of the rock so your hotel room feels super fancy yet very beautiful and old. I had an amazing time every day doing something new and getting to know the staff and getting to know the neighborhood. Make sure you go upstairs and have tea on the rooftop a few nights. And a fire in your fireplace. This was the best place I’ve ever stayed and I can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely loved our stay!! The staff is fantastic and make you feel at home and taken care of. The food is incredible and the tours the set up for us, which were super last minute because I hadn’t had enough time to plan out last leg of our 2.5 week trip, were outstanding! We did a walking tour of Medina, a trip to the Atlas Mountains and the Berber Village, a 3 hour Hammam spa experience, and a sunset camel ride followed by traditional Berber music and dinner with a fire show after in the Agafay desert! It could not have been a more perfect trip! Highly recommend.

This wonderful Riad is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant city of Marrakech. There are only a handful of rooms at this Riad, and the staff make you feel like you are the only ones there. They helped us organize all our visits in the city, had a driver on hand for us at all times and had the most sumptuous breakfasts. The courtyard was stunningly beautiful, the rooftop terrace had multiple places to escape and rest and the room was decorated with impeccable style. Our favorite experience was the cooking class at the Riad … and enjoying the dinner afterwards … which was our Thanksgiving dinner for 2024. Definitely memorable. The rooms were very beautiful and comfortable. The only things to be aware of as they are different from US culture: You leave the room door open and everything opens up to the Riad’s inner courtyard. Sound carries. Also, due to the FANTASTIC hammered metal light covers (they really are stunning), the rooms are darker than we are used to in the western world. With steps and fixtures around the room, you must be careful. Probably not a good option for someone who has mobility issues. We were totally ok with both. We would highly recommend this Riad and hope to return to this haven of rest and tranquility!

AnaYela Riad is nothing short of heaven on earth. The location, the architecture, and the overall atmosphere create a setting that is simply perfect. However, what truly sets this place apart (and I say this as someone who works in hospitality) is the exceptional, personalized service. I want to especially highlight Hisam, whose dedication to making every moment of our stay remarkable was truly unforgettable. Everyone’s attention to detail, warmth, and constant efforts to ensure we had the best possible experience will remain in my memories for life. I can’t wait to return!

AnaYela really does have the wow factor. The photos do not do it justice. As soon as you step through the entrance off the busy hustle & bustle of the Medina streets you are warmly welcomed into a beautifully calm oasis, and all your stress drifts away. With only 5 bedrooms you are sure of a more personal service by the friendly and professional staff, nothing is too much trouble. I travelled with my wife and two daughters (who had their own room) and we all completely loved the place. The homemade food cooked by the resident chef was 10/10. We ate at the hotel on 4 evenings and each time was presented with a different 3 course banquet of traditional Moroccan food which was so delicious. We stayed for 7 nights and any downtime was spent on the rooftop in a shady spot or topping up a suntan on the loungers. It was so lovely and surprisingly quiet considering the busy streets, in all it was the most relaxing holiday we've ever had. The many streets surrounding the hotel are hard to navigate on your own, and it can get confusing if you want to just wander around. Double check your mobile phone provider enables data to use maps on the go as it is essential! The Marrakech people are so lovely, we really enjoyed our time there. Breakfast on the rooftop every morning was a special treat for us, soaking up the sun and catching the breeze, knowing it was going to be another glorious sunny day. The hotel felt like our home for the week, other guests would come and go after a night or two, so the place felt like ours most of the time. I would highly recommend this hotel, the place itself is beautiful, the food is fantastic and the staff are amazing. Air conditioned rooms, a small pool to cool off, a rooftop terrace and so much space to spread out, we hardly saw other guests when they were staying, it was lovely. The temperature was unseasonably mid 30s when we arrived and for the following few days which was perfect for us but by the end of the week it was back to normal and in the mid 40s deg C. If the whole week had been that hot I'm not sure we would have coped. Mid 30s with a cool breeze was heaven, so avoid July & August if you don't like hot weather.
