“basic hotel”
Nothing much has changed since our last stay. The Federal police are still there.The rooms are basic and you have to ask for water and a second towel. They now have a restaurant that will serve breakfast. The desk clerk did not speak English so you need some basic Spanish.Also all the tv channels a… more

“Smallish rooms, noise level above average”
Police sub station and sleep spot. LOTS of heavily armed federal police around in the lobby and in the rooms. It's ok for a single night passing through, and conveniently located at the edge of town, but it doesn't have anything to offer in terms of a longer stay.

We've stayed here 2 more times since my first review of the Zar, (April 2014) and each time I have received a room of lesser quality than the one before. The last stay was really bad. No towels.
