Tlaxcala is a very small town and I doubt there is any other better hotel than this one. It's located side by side of the citie's center. The hotel was built in an old historic building and it is well conserved with a very traditional style. The rooms are OK, very clean and everyone is kind and helpful. I stayed in a suite (maybe the only suite in the hotel) because they ran out of king size bedrooms so they gave me this one free of charge. Breaksfast is pretty good, although it is full of traditional mexican dishes (tourists beware! food is good but it may be too spicy for some of you!) and there is also a lady who can make you any omelette you like. There is a nice pool in the center of the hotel, I was told the water is cold which, if true, could be something the hotel management could improve. Our room had heating and water was always hot and a-plenty. I woul definitely stary there again. It may be a bit pricy given that Tlaxcala is a very small town but I think the overall experience is worth it.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It could really benefit from having some work done on it though; it's a bit dated and definitely not what I would call 'boutique' as stated. The toilet door wouldn't close - so not very good on the privacy aspect. The hairdryer blew up when plugged in and that was a bit worrying. The breakfast was nice enough and was included in the price. It's an average hotel, good for a night or two at the most.

This hotel has so much wasted potential. The hotel itself is beautiful and beyond charming. The location cannot be beat. You feel like you are going back in time in Mexico. Some of the best common area of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. This really could be a 5 start hotel. The problem is, you get a two star room. I doubt there are any better options in this charming small mountain town. It’s just a shame, if the rooms were nice this hotel would be a destination for tourist from all over the world. Ownership should remodel rooms or sell. The Internet didn't work.

This hotel is in a great location right on the zocalo in the charming town of Tlaxcala. But it's a bit 'long in the tooth', if you know what I mean. Our first room they took us to was about 500 meters from the lobby, or so it seemed. We wanted a closer room, so we got a room right on the pool. The problem is that there is no insulation between rooms and the walls seem to be about the thickness of paper. We could easily hear our neighbors snoring and when our other neighbors came in borracho at 5am, even our good earplugs didn't help that. But the bed is comfortable, the water pressure good and the staff very nice. But please try to make the rooms nicer. For the rather high price of this place, I would expect better.
