The ambiance of this hotel is tranquil and inviting from the moment you enter. The staff are professional and polite, and it feels quaint, but sophisticated. Valet parking was conveniently available, and then we were greeted promptly at the front desk. The hotel does not have elevators but the staff are helpful and kind enough to assist with getting your baggage up the stairs if you aren't on the first floor. The lighting and plants make the space feel like a peaceful dawn or dusk moment at all times. The rooms have high ceilings and are clean and quiet. Blackout curtains block all the light from the windows, but when you open them, they lead to a beautiful little balcony overlooking the road below. It's a poignant experience to look out at sunset and watch the people walking on the street. Upstairs is a rooftop restaurant with delicious aguachile, lots of mezcal varieties, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Around the hotel are plenty of shops and restaurants-- it's an excellent location if you're planning to walk around and explore. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a lovely experience in QRO.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The room they had originally assigned to us was not to our liking. While private and away from the main area, it was tucked away on the third floor in a corner and was dark and stuffy, the window did not open all the way, and the only view was a wall. We were promptly given a much nicer room. It was beautiful with a high ceiling and window that opened up to a small balcony and the cobblestone street below. The room was spotless, the bed linens were fresh, and Carmen did an excellent job of keeping the room clean and tidy and making sure we had fresh towels every day. The shower was perfect with just the right amount of pressure and hot water. If you like to keep the windows open to let the fresh air in, it can get noisy at night. There was the occasional street vendor pulling his cart on the cobblestones, the noise of the traffic and the band playing at La Grupa upstairs, but once you closed the double-door windows, you couldn't hear the noise. During the day, the workers were refurbishing the ceiling and were right outside our room. They were not intrusive at all and were of no bother to us, but the manager, because of the inconvenience, kindly treated us to a complimentary dinner at La Grupa which we thoroughly enjoyed including the lovely vista from the rooftop restaurant. Thank you, Juan Jose! The hotel is full of history and charm. One can imagine the flurry of activity when Don Ignacio Perez hurriedly mounted his horse from this very place to deliver urgent news about the conspiracy 200 years ago. It is within walking distance to the beautiful squares, churches, and restaurants. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were warm, friendly, professional, and eager to help. Truly a gem in the heart of Centro.

This review is a couple weeks late, and unfortunately my spanish is still not awesome so I have to write this in english. I stayed here for two weeks immediately upon arriving in Queretaro. I honestly couldn't have had a better experience. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the concierge to restaurant to the wonderful woman who does the cleaning at the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing rooftop patio. Everything is super clean. I only knew my room but I poked my head into others that were vacant, and they range in all sizes. Right in the heart of Centro Queretaro, this is seriously the perfect spot in the city. Just off a main street so the noise is reduced. Anytime I have friends or family visiting from the US, I'm going to recommend they stay here. Again, I have zero complaints. They went above and beyond to make this gringo feel welcome and I'll always remember Casa Aspeytia as my "first home" in Queretaro.

“Very charming place situated in the center of the old colonial town.”

Very comfortable, nice breakfast included on the terrace, friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to all the things I wanted to see and do in El Centro, yet situated just enough away from too much nightlife noise. Perfect little getaway spot.
