We spent 5 nights here and found it to be good value. It is clean. There is a breakfast included. The rooms all have balconies with a view. There is air conditioning but the breeze from the sliding doors onto the balcony is more than adequate for Cuernavaca's temps. Mattress and pillows are good and sheets clean. They change out the towels daily, and there is a small bar and restaurant in the basement that is cheap and will be all yours on weekdays. Heavier business patterns on weekends. Nothing quaint, or romantic about the place ... Just practical value. Should also mention a very helpful staff person named Andre. He grew up in the States and is quite helpful with those of us challenged with Conversational spanish. He had good advice for us and helped with some transportation needs.... A real plus!

A taxi that deserves the hotel, M.Baldemar Guzman was honest and helpful, is phone number 777-307-4035. I went to Xochicalco (pyramids) and he waited for mi for a very, very reasonable price.

“In desperate need of maintenance ”
I stayed at this hotel a year ago and everything was just fine. But I guess this last year has been rough for them. Checked in at around 1:00 PM and had no issues even when it is usually at 3:00. I stayed at this hotel a year ago and everything was just fine. But I guess this last year has been rough for them. Checked in at around 1:00 PM and had no issues even when it is usually at 3:00. Room was huge, well furnished. Stayed at 401, avoid it if you have a light sleep as it is right next to the elevator and makes a lot of noise. Restaurant and bar services were good and food was ok, pretty cheap. The bed was rock hard, not comfortable at all. Towels are rags, I couldn't believe how old and broken they were. Location is unbeatable and for the price you can't get any closer to downtown. The place overall is looking run down. You can tell they don't invest a cent in maintaining it. Not sure if I would stay there a third time.

Just as a note, I manage a hotel in the US. The location and price were great. The front desk staff was not frienly and did not seem to care about being helpful. However, Francisco was very friendly and helpful. There was also a man there by the name of David. I am not sure of what his job was, but he was extreemly nice and helpful. The shower was not very clean, but the sheets were pressed and clean. The hotel advertised wireless internet throughout the hotel, but I could only get access if I hung my computer over the balcony. This is not good when you are in an unfamilliar place and searching for things to do. I ate in the restaurant a few times and was not impressed with the food at all. Great service can save a bad hotel, but a great hotel can not save bad service. It is all about service. Hats off to Francisco and David. They saved my experience.
