“Amazing staff, great hotel!!”
We loved staying at Hotel Victoria. The room was a great size, the grounds terrific for kids to play and run around, great pool and wonderful bar and restaurants areas. We loved staying at Hotel Victoria. The room was a great size, the grounds terrific for kids to play and run around, great pool and wonderful bar and restaurants areas. The hotel is also a short walk to town - with lovely views of the town. Best of all, the staff were absolutely wonderful. We had an incident where my daughter’s favourite toy was left in Mexico City hotel. The staff at Hotel Victoria helped us speak to staff in the Mexico City hotel (we don’t speak Spanish), located the toy and have it shipped to Oaxaca. They really went out of their way to help us - it was really touching. So 100% recommend Hotel Victoria as a place to stay while visiting beautiful Oaxaca!

“Totally enjoyable”
The location perched on a hillside overlooking the city can't be beat! It's nicely landscaped compound, with a big, well-kept pool surrounded by a veritable jungle of green. The location perched on a hillside overlooking the city can't be beat! It's nicely landscaped compound, with a big, well-kept pool surrounded by a veritable jungle of green. The room was comfy and the AC never let us down. The room was kept clean and fresh. Don't expect a Swiss hotel: This is a classic Mexican hotel, and some details are a little funky. The buffet breakfast is quite good, but the other meals are just okay. It's a ten-minute walk to a variety of excellent restaurants, so breakfast will do! If we return to Oaxaca, I'm sure we'll stay at Victoria again.

“Lovely place but bad communications”
The hotel I thought was 5 out of 5 but I am marking it down due to poor communications. I wanted to get in contact prior to my arrival with a couple of questions, I filled in a comments form on their website, I sent an email through their website, I found their WhatsApp number and I also messaged … more
The hotel I thought was 5 out of 5 but I am marking it down due to poor communications. I wanted to get in contact prior to my arrival with a couple of questions, I filled in a comments form on their website, I sent an email through their website, I found their WhatsApp number and I also messaged through the hotels.com app, these messages were sent over the space of a week and none were responded too. I really dont understand this in this day and age and it didn’t fill me with confidence. The whole complex was very nice, I used the pool a couple of times and my room had a lovely view - I had paid for a room with a view but you never really know what you’re going to get ! Another slight annoyance was I booked a taxi with the lady on reception for 3 am to get me to the airport, when I came down at the time the man on reception queried it saying the airport didn’t open till 4am, I couldn’t do anything about it by then as the taxi arrived, I had to the sit in the taxi for 20 mins at the airport and I felt I needed to cover his time, it would have been helpful if the lady had told me this.
