“Really good”

Beautiful hotel. We stay in this hotel in July 2024. This was a beautiful stay very cozy and clean and close to El Angel de independencia …I really liked it can’t wait for the next stay there for my next trip love the food places,and shops close to the zocalo I was nice to stay there

Arriving at this hotel I had my doubts, but overall I had a pleasant stay at both the beginning and end legs of my Exoticca tour. Granted front desk staff were hit and miss- some very friendly and others where it appeared you were bothering them even by checking in. Breakfast had a decent selection but it was very hard to find somewhere to sit, and again wait staff were hit and miss if you wanted something, like cutlery or coffee, unless you were a tour leader and you got anything you wanted, including refills. You pretty much had to snag a table as soon as it was vacated as the breakfast area is full of tour groups and leaders. VERY busy place. The tables are tightly packed in without much room to maneuver. I accidentally bumped one of the tables, and despite apologizing, one tour guide looked at me like I had stabbed him instead of just displacing a bit of his coffee onto the saucer plate. I had a nice view from my corner room on the top floor, with a tiny sliding window that opened for fresh air. Room and hotel were very clean. Shower had good water temperature and pressure. Elevator was tiny but fast. Door staff were very friendly and always helpful. Hotel is in a very convenient area with lots of shops, places to eat, and other hotels. Very safe pretty area, near to the Contesa neighborhood, Zona Rosa, and Plaza Reforma. Despite some staffing issues, I had a great stay at the Hotel Plaza Florencia and would stay there again/recommend it.

“Great location but rock hard beds!”

The hotel was in a perfect location and everyone working at the hotel was great. The rooms were spotless. However I had a real hard time sleeping there because the beds were as hard as a rock. The hotel was in a perfect location and everyone working at the hotel was great. The rooms were spotless. However I had a real hard time sleeping there because the beds were as hard as a rock. I don't mind a firm mattress but this was beyond. Also there was minimal water pressure in the shower and adjusting the water temperature was a mission. There was no coffee makers in the room, because of covid they said and we did have plumbing issues a couple of times during our stay. I don't think I will return here. I maybe got 4 hours of sleep each night.

Overall this hotel is clean and well-located, with friendly staff and great blackout curtains. However, there were a handful of small issues that makes me think you could get a better a hotel at the same price. There were some small issues like there not being enough towels (and the towels that were there were a bit worn), no full length mirror, and no conditioner, but that's all manageable. The bigger problem for us was that the walls are thin. Sound from neighboring rooms, the hallway, and the bathroom were very audible. If you're a heavy sleeper and not too concerned about privacy then it's probably fine.
