There is no in-room coffee, so bring ground coffee and a portable, folding hotpot if you need one. Outlets are standard two prong, non-polarized. Bring an adapter if you need one. USE: The large hinged doors on either side of the bed CLOSE to cut noise from the rest of the hotel. Use them! They also keep the cool air in. The hotel is designed with rooms outside a circular courtyard. It's charming but loud. These doors all but eliminate the noise, at least on Floors 2 and up. Floor 1 is one above Ground. USE: The window has two coverings. One is a crucial pocket door that completely covers the window and cuts out the festive street noise (there's a permanent market on one side of the Condesa df that has music, and you will hear it wafting at times - very pleasant). Two is the curtains. This makes the whole room dark for good sleeping. Condesa DF is a perfect hotel for first timers and veterans to Mexico City. It is in the best neighborhood (safe, beautiful, fun) and is close to many more fun things to do (Avenida Amsterdam, Anthropology Museum, many cafes and stores). It is an inexpensive uber ride to wherever else you want to go. We went with a group of 10 for a 60th birthday celebration, and this hotel had comfortable rooms (Patio Queen, nothing fancy) with windows that opened onto the street with fresh air. There was also really cold air conditioning. The ensuite bathroom had a large shower with great water pressure, an 8' ledge that ran the length of the bathroom to put all your dopp kit things on, provided bath gel/shampoo/conditioner, an old but awesome sink and a toilet. The flooring is made of stone, so some in-room flip flops are nice (slippers are provided but not very padded). There is a small fridge that also contains some mini-bar items. Our room had a large (32" square) wooden table and two large comfy chairs at the window. This was maybe 2' from the foot of the bed. These rooms are comfortable for two and DEFINITELY European sized and not American sized! There is a separate area for hanging clothes and shoes (sort of like a hall closet but with a curtain - very efficient and fine for 5 days' of clothes). There was also some shelf space in the entry hall. There are no dressers, so this is where we put our non-hanging clothes. I read on TripAdvisor that the beds were hard, so I ordered a $40 eggcrate topper from Amazon.MX to be delivered to the front desk. I arranged the receipt of this with the front desk by email. Front desk seemed to be staffed 24-hours, and the people are so friendly and can work with English. You can leave your large room key there when you exit the premises so you don't have to carry it around. Don't forget the complimentary Añejo Tequila in the lobby; it's expensive to buy and is tasty. Elevator is tiny and pretty available, but we climbed the stone stairs most of the time. Rooftop bar is a must. Well-staffed, good sushi, fun drinks, comfy seats, pretty view. Every night, we gathered up here and told stories of the day. (European) Breakfast came with our room (except for bottled water which we had every day). It was lovely but not gluten free! Smoked salmon, breads/pastries/muffins, juices (yummy), fruit (we washed our apple with bottle water first), cereals. This is not a bacon/eggs spread, but you can find many of those within walking distance. They have oat milk and maybe almond milk. I got oat milk (leche de avena) with my coffee, and I think there was a small surcharge. There was plenty of staff at this hotel. When we needed extra towels, they were available. The housekeeping was great and available daily if you leave your Do Not Disturb sign off. They were friendly. We left a hefty tip in pesos for them on our last day. So worth it! Ubers are super cheap and easy to catch outside. There is almost always a bell person outside which is so nice. We tipped the bell person who took up our bags initially. There is a Circle K literally around the corner for your bottled water needs. We went daily and picked up 5 32 oz bottles cheaply. In a pinch, the hotel has this, too, but at a higher cost. Be sure to say "sin gas" if you want it without bubbles! There's also a nice (not a discount) liquor store, literally next door. All in all, after a long day touring, it was just nice to "come home to the Condesa df" . We would return there in a heartbeat. Thanks to the Condesa df for a great stay!
